I'm fixing a rust spot just underneath the license plate holder that area was rusted out pretty bad so I had to use that steel mesh patch and some bondo last week and this week I'm going to sand and paint it I already have primer on it so all i have to do is paint. I wish my torque boxes looked as good as yours mine at the center on both sides are blown out from rust but i did spray rust reformer and fluid film on the inside to keep it getting worse than they already are. Oh one more thing this spring I had a body shop go through my frame cause it needed a few patches and it checked out fine except for the patches it needed and was also painted

Hey bud what was the actual step by step on what you did here and the products want to do it myself to my TJ. I just got it waxoyld underneath 6 months ago but I can see some bits I can work some rust off and respray. So, any advice would be massively appreciated

Hey Will! I used 220 grit sandpaper then use a towel with mineral spirits to clean up before spraying it with rustoluim rust reformer

Is there a particular reason you use the nuts for the doors? I never use mine anymore

Keep the threads from rusting. Plus a little harder for someone to just steal the doors off of it

I use Ammo NYC products. The jeep only has 23k miles so that helps make it look new still

on the underneath parts why not just get OEM paint to spray on it? Instead of that sealer?

Paint the frame and then spray fluid film over the entire undercarriage once a year. Wont rust again

I do my best not to drive it but if I do I wash the entire jeep down when I get home from gping anywhere. Project 4 banger gets driven in the winter and I use fluid film on it now
