Fixing the Vertical Door opening issue on the Genesis Coupe

Lots of positivity sent your way from down here in Florida! Thank you for posting content on your vehicle. I’ve been following your entire journey. Your vehicle is what made me decide to get my 2013 2.0t Premium. I couldn’t be happier, it’s my daily driver. I wake up every morning and can’t wait till i finish my performance mods so I can start working on the cosmetic stuff. Biggest hurdle I’m going to have is the Premium trim didn’t come with the track wing. Sourcing a trunk with the wing already mounted is a pain, then I’m gonna have to find a place to paint match them lol. I’d go with the CF one but there’s something soo wrong with having over a thousand bucks being held on with 3M that makes me a bit uneasy. Keep doing your thing man! Wife got a cricut for Christmas and I’m measuring everything out to design and cut vinyl so wrapping my interior trim like yours won’t be so tedious.

Thumbs up for effort, i had sn early kit on one of first lowrider S10s back in the late 90s. I never did get those things working very well. They were manageable but my doors probably weighed 30lbs less than those as well!

Question, is it a matter of making the door lighter (however that works) or can the bracket be shortened so you don't have to open it so far before lifting it?

There isn’t really any way to make the door lighter. It has to open that wide so the window and interior trim of the door will clear the door frame of the car.

I got them directly from Vertical Doors Inc. they were $125 each and are 810lbs vs the standard 720lb ones.

Did you ever have any issues with dash command? I installed it onto my tablet and when I try to launch the app it says “DashCommand has stopped”. Wont even load the app. Not sure if there is anything I can do.

Dash command has been great so far. No issues.

@@VehicleEvolution got mine to work last night. I just had to turn my wifi off. So weird but now it works just fine.
