Hey Andrew, great video as always. Just wanted to say that I found your channel back in Nov 2022, watched all your videos up to that point now I watch every Saturday night when i'm at work 😬 I originally started watching as I was interested in videos regarding renovations abroad and I was excited to see what you were going to do with this property. Now you are well and truly started I am feeling like the wait is over! So glad I found your channel, I almost feel like I know you! Lovely guy with a lovely outlook on life, which is refreshing in these times. Just wanted to say thanks for allowing us into your life, for many of us, to do what you are doing is just unreachable unfortunately. All the best and I look forward to seeing what happens next! Adam (Kent,UK).

26:15 Andrew, I have to say something. First, it's not too late, wash all the concrete off your hands and then pour a little vinegar and make sure you wet everything that touched the cement. Cement is alkaline, and the vinegar is acidic, bringing the skin's Ph closer to neutral and avoiding terrible cement infections. Red line creeping up your wrists a couple days afterwards. Do this every time you play with cement and concrete. That and the obvious lung and eye protection. While I'm giving tips for concrete work, here are a few more: Trowel one direction only, going back and forth brings moisture to the surface, which can be a problem for proper set. Rebar use on circles: you do need to wrap the rebar around the structure, footing, base of a dome, to keep the dome or circle from spreading and failing, or at a minimum creating cracks. The large stone and brick domes of world architecture would have fallen long ago had they not had metal, steel chain to hold it all together! Great work as usual, love watching you figure out hows best to do things, BUT TAKE CARE OF YOUR HANDS!!! Peace and much Love to you and yours, Sir.

I'm a retired builder I have seen many ways to tackle any individual task. As long as it works. The only comment I have made to you is about you wearing breathing protection whilst in dusty conditions ( eg: cutting concrete ). Thankfully last video you were wearing breathing protection. I would not dream of telling you how to do anything. I think you are an excellent builder. You possess a comprehensive skill set and that all important factor ............stubborn determination.

I’m renovating a house on a farm in Portugal, so enjoying watching you going about your day. I also really enjoy watching and learning from the artisans and craftsmen doing their work. Small wonder the Portuguese craftsmen are such demand around the world. Another thing I’m learning is that we overestimate what can be done in a day, but underestimate how much can be achieved in a year! The power of patience and persistence.

It’s amazing to see it all being torn down then built up again. You/they make it look so easy but it’s obviously not. It’s hard, dirty, dusty work & I commend you for keeping busy while others do your house. That’s a hard thing for many people… letting go of the wheel so to speak
@joycarey896011 ай бұрын
Andrew Been watching for a while now. Wait for new episodes. Very natural and watchable. Good mix of commentary, music and comments. I like the way you challenge yourself, but use outside help on occasion. It’s also good to see how the locals go about their work too. I don’t know that you will ever finish the work, but that’s not important. It’s the process of living. I think the property and your pet family are good therapy and keep you sane. Keep it up but do it at a comfortable pace. Denis from Sydney

100K subs by next week, Andrew? This is so well deserved. It's not gone un-noticed how hard you worked, and not just on the house. On a separate note: Those bathroom walls you knock down are not old, and were freshly rendered. Were they the previous developer's attempts to solve layout issues?

Surely you need to cap off those two tubes cemented into the well walls. Otherwise, the rain will start to fill the tubes and both soak into the stone and mortar and stand a good chance of freezing (expansion/freezing etc). But a great job nevertheless. Good on ya....
