NVENC New is for NVIDIA 1080's, and above as well as RTX Cards, regular NVENC is 1080's and below. This is great information for Twitch streamers, thanks for this video.

James had severe issues with NVENC NEW on his RTX 2080 with Control, performance improved dramatically switching to NVENC instead for Twitch streaming.

@@dragonblogger I have my own issues, and the guide I made was for recording and that has helped me out a lot, but it is only for recording, not streaming like your guide did, which is great. For recording, it is not as sensitive, so it could actually be that is best. I will go over your guide at some point as well and test it for streaming, I will let you know. Thanks again.

Hello, i have another problem: Everything is going fine, my up-speed is 20Mbit I use to stream 720p60 frames NVENC or NEW doesnt matter in my issue Bitrate i use 4500 in game on high settings i get 140+ FPS On Twitch i have 60fps but like every 30s it drops to 20 and its very bad... I have GTX 1070 and i7-8750h CPU When i use CPU encoding i have no issues but i start to have low FPS in game What i read on internet is that GTX 1070 support NVENC and its something like different chip for it so thats why i have better performance, but here is but Have low FPS in game but stable 60fps on twitch Or have high FPS in game but drops to 20 fps on twtich.. What can cause this problem? can you help me please? Thank you

You didn't say if you disable preview mode in SLOBS if it helps, because it should at least a little in this area. I am using a mobile GTX 1060 and core i-7 on my gaming laptop so your specs are better than mine, NVENC (don't choose NVENC NEW because only RTX 2xxx and above can do NVENC NEW properly). While the game encoding may be a separate chipset if you are watching the video of the game in SLOBS or have Twitch open in a browser that is playing the video you are eating into the same resources. Open up task manager and sort by CPU and Memory utilization while you are live and see what is consuming the resources. Finally, many people have claimed that SLOBS is more unstable than using OBS STUDIO for stability and performance, so if none of the above work install OBS obsproject.com/download and setup your scenes/slides the same way. If you use Streamlabs CLoudbot for loyalty and alerts, you can just use browser source add in OBS to get your STreamlabs stuff in OBS.

@@dragonblogger Hey! Thank you for your fast reply! I will take a look what can cause these problems and let you now. The first thing i just checked is my connection, looks like my provider reduced my upload speed from 20+ mbit to like 7 so i think this can be that issue i will try to check things and we will see.

@@MGFitman PING and Latency are big ones with ISP's, if your ping is over 80 it could cuase issues, another thing people don't think about is DNS, it is often faster if you set Cloudflare DNS directly and use 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1 as your DNS servers instead of auto DNS from your ISP, Cloudflare DNS are even faster than Google DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 in my experience too. If you are a broadband (cable) then the pipe is shared with everyone in your neighborhood and random spikes/drops in speed/quality of line is common, compared to say DSL or FiOS/Fiber which is dedicated.

@@dragonblogger Im on 1.0.0.1 and ping is around 15 not more I called to my provider and he said that i must have 20+Mbit, today they will try to switch channel and lets hope it gonna work. Just question, does it basically means that quality of x264 CPU encoding is lower so my low upload can handle it? So its nothing to do with my hardware at all and when my upload is fixed, NVENC will be ok?

So my games i get around 120 FPS not streaming. While streaming im getting around 80. Slobs is dropping my FPS from 60 sometimes down to 45 FPS but its also bugging out my camera.... Is this a game issue or something else? i9 10850k gtx 970 GPU (trying for a 3070) 32 GB ram. Pretty lost as it does it while recording or streaming

So though NVIDIA has separate decoded cores, remember when capturing your stream not only does it have to capture and render game, but if you have preview mode on the client it has to render it there and also render and stream it with the stream not accepting more than 60fps. So you can switch from NVENC if if you are using that as encoder to (H.274 Software decoder which uses the CPU, though this likely is better performance if you have a high end AMD CPU with more threads/cores than an intel CPU with less threads/cores, if you do it while gaming. This is also a common reason may people have a separate "streaming laptop or PC" that is low end just acting as the capture/streaming device vs streaming from the same gaming rig. Because I only have a mobile gaming laptop with a GTX 1060 still, I can't give you more tips I don't have high enough gaming equipment to get above 60fps currently. Maybe in March when I get my new build and am able to do high end high framerate I can check other options for you.
