you're supposed to always take the NEGATIVE terminal off the battery first, fyi. That;s why there is a cover over the positive terminal, so you remember to remove the negative side first. also when you put a new battery in, the positive side goes back on first...

If the tyres are wearing evenly (i.e. not killing one shoulder or the other) why bother with camber adjustment away from how it was built at the factory? Camber adjust really comes into play when lowering a car because the steering geometry changes, this seems to be a family run around not a teenager in a ricer. Makes no sense to spend $$ to fit camber adjustment just for the sake of it when it's only going to get set to its neutral point during alignment anyways. Maybe some people fit this stuff and get a warm glow from being able to say "I fitted camber bolts" while they serve no purpose in their application. Money would be better spent elsewhere.
@alan68324 жыл бұрын
That's good because tie rods don't cause pulling. Pulling is going to be camber, castor, dragging rear brake, rear wheel alignment or something else.
@chillybrit23344 жыл бұрын
@@alan6832 Please explain how camber causes pulling. I suppose you could have one wheel with more or less camber than its partner on the other side of the car - that might result in slightly differing amounts of friction to the road surface. But I'd expect to see differing wear patterns between the two tyres in question. And how does a badly adjusted tie rod ~not~ cause pulling? They quite literally angle one wheel inward or outward as referenced to the direction of vehicle travel. I'd honestly like explanations as it may be I have completely misunderstood the whole thing.
@alan68324 жыл бұрын
@@chillybrit2334 You guessed right on the camber. Assymetric toe in gets automatically corrected by the driver by tuning the steering wheel a bit, which restores symmetry except for the steering wheel itself. The symptom is not pulling, it is the steering wheel spokes being at an angle when the car is going straight.
@kevins.35734 жыл бұрын
@@chillybrit2334 It's a ~20 year old Honda. It's struts are blown. Maybe, he has plans to raise or lower it. Otherwise, he wouldn't be asking about front and rear camber adjustment.

These crv's like to leak on the floor board from either the weather strips on the rood, windshield, or cowl. i have been chasing a leak for a while now and have sealed the cowl and the winshield. my next step is to check the weather stripping once i install the roof rack. you should def pull up your carpet to see if it has been leaking in the interior. just bought mine and while doing a deep detail i found a whole section rusting out on my passenger floor board where the seat mounts. there was leaking on the driver side as well but not as severe. ended up cutting the rust out and replacing it. Just something to look out for. Happy to see more crv videos being uploaded, will be dropping vids of my rust issue & how i went about resolving it. Thank you!

Toe does not cause a pull, Only really bad camber and caster offset will. So if your caster is off that will cause a pull. Also a bad tire can cause a pull as well. Also there is no front camber adjust on hondas with the wishbone style strut that i am aware of. Rears can be re adjusted with after market kits. Just make sure you tighten the toe with the double wing nuts really good. Honda got rid of the rear adjustment later years because of the rear toe not being tight enough.
