Thank you! After watching your video, I was able to put air in my tires this morning. Thanks for the tip about the 5 minute max runtime because it will over heat.

Thanks for the review. My Ryobi hand held P737 started to give out after +3 years. I was about to replace with the same model; but, this is a way better with added features for only $10 more (Amazon prices).

I can tell you from experience that the unit will not turn itself off if you go over minutes. Last year, I was using this as an air up tool for my Jeep when I'm offroad. I didn't even consider use and cool down time, so I would let it eat for all 4 tires. Takes about 10-12 minutes per tire. So...12 minutes, then 60 seconds to the next time, 12 more minutes, etc. Maybe not my best idea.

I had the old style "pistol" type for years, it just died, I upgraded to the dual function inflator it keeps stopping mid cycle. I turn it off, start it again, and does the same thing. any ideas? Just inflating car tires from 25 to 35, I don't think that its overheating
@fixitFlip
@fixitFlip 2 жыл бұрын
No, that shouldn't be overheating. Duty cycle is 5 minutes, so if you are running around 5 min at a time you should be okay. Sounds defective maybe. Home Depot's pretty good about returns.

When inflating car tires, when unscrewing the hose, is the tire loosing air? The gauge shows numbers dropping as I unscrew it??
@fixitFlip
@fixitFlip 10 ай бұрын
When you hear that hissing noise it is losing a little bit. So it's a good idea sometimes to fill it just a tad higher than you need since it will lose a little.

I bought one of these in the early summer of 2020. I used it mostly for filling up inflatables on my boat. I stared to notice it was making unusual noises this last summer. Last week while filling up a tire, it stared to smoke and it quit.
@fixitFlip
@fixitFlip 2 жыл бұрын
Hmm...interesting. Were you using it in 5 minute intervals? It's got a pretty short duty cycle of only 5 minutes. The hose gets pretty hot if you don't stick to it. You could always try taking it back to Home Depot for an exchange.

on a typical day, someone might top up tires from 29 to 35 lets say. if i have a 2ah battery, will that be enough to do this on 4 tires?
@fixitFlip
@fixitFlip 2 жыл бұрын
Yes, you will have plenty of battery to do that with a 2ah. The only trick with this machine is letting it cool if it runs for more than 5 minutes. It has a 5 min duty cycle.

FIX IT FLIP, what duty cycle do you have to use to prevent the tube from getting hot and the compressor from overheating? I'm looking for a cheap inflator that uses a rechargeable battery and will last long
@fixitFlip

This one it's pretty short. 5 minutes on, then 5 minutes cool down.

Could I cut off the screw on tip and somehow attach a universal quick disconnect that could then use a lock on inflator?
