AK is 100% right about Wendy being bigger than Charlemagne because she moved the needle from radio to daytime tv. Charlemagne has yet to move the audience from The Breakfast Club to network tv. Plus, Flagrant is arguing who was number one between Charle and Wendy but they're forgetting that Charle is a byproduct of Wendy's radio show. And that's another way that the student doesn't outshine the master.

AK was 1000% right on the argument of Charlamagne and the Breakfast Club. The Breakfast Club did not move an audience from radio, they simultaneously built an audience on both mediums. Their show was created in 2010 and they were uploading clips from their show not long after, that is not moving an audience. Charlamagne did not "move" from radio to the internet, only a new TBC fan would think that, I've been watching them since 2011. The Breakfast Club had múltiple fan pages on KZbin posting their content since 2010, way before they started taking their main channel serious. Those fan pages were garnering millions of views and building their online presence when their show was still in it's infancy. They built an online audience at the same time they were building a radio audience, so Schulz giving Charlamagne credit for moving an audience from radio just isn't true, there's a massive difference between that and what Howard Stern did.

Very true, I’ve been a long time listener of tbc and I used to wait for this guy that was a rapper upload tbc episodes, when tbc was only power 105.1 they wouldn’t copyright the vids. This guy got tons of views, even ctg shouted him out. That’s when they realized they were missing out of putting out content on KZbin, they would only put out the interviews but slowly they started putting out more clips like the rumor report and donkey of the day. Then I heart came along and it just amplified everything. They used to be so real in the beginning

@PotawatomiThunderNew Жыл бұрын
I think the point might have went a little over your head. Not way over your head, but just slightly. And I say that objectively and with all due respect. The point Andrew is making is not something that is effected by what you just brought up. I don’t think Andrew’s point is dependent on who uploads it, but the fact of Breakfast Club’s content being on KZbin just in general. The idea that their content has reached many people through this medium. It’s more about the fact that what they created has reached these people than it is about who put it up. Also I don’t want anybody who possibly reads this to take it as me defending Andrew’s argument because my own opinion is more in favor of what Ak was saying (excluding the Wendy Williams parts)
@TheCloveart Жыл бұрын
@@PotawatomiThunderNew I see your point. But I think it does matter. Because if it wasn’t for those people who stole their content and uploaded it to KZbin, then they would still be local DJs. Andrew is annoying a lot of the times where the guests is on a story about to say something interesting or funny and he just keeps interrupting over and over again to get a punchline in and it just ruins the flow of the conversation. At least Akademiks is persistent to say what he has to say, but other guest just stop with what they're saying.

I love Schulz as a comedian and as a person in general, but I actually don't get his hate for Kanye. Like everything he says about Kanye is bad and super unreasonable. Kanye is the greatest artist of our generation and this dude is missing it focusing on the negatives. Free yourself Schulz, your life will be 10x better with Kanye
@KUM0 Жыл бұрын
he said he was never a good rapper which is straight lying, he's clearly biased against him and don't want to make any research so he says whatever. Such a bad quality and uncultured conversation from his part. I bet he's mostly hating because of an imminent Ye comeback, if he was popping and industry accepted it would lean more towards glazzing

1:50:39 Facts.. Howard said he leaving radio and going to Sirius follow him there and they came (and on top of that they PAID to listen to him on satellite when radio was free). He said I got a show on channel 9 and the show was a hit.. his book was a hit.. his movie was a hit.. Charlemagne can't even get a hit show outside of the breakfast club.. every show he creates flops. Can't Compare him to Howard. Plus Charlemagne and Wendy was on air competing with Howard and Star at the same time. They were all on the air in the early 2000s and the only person to beat Howard in the ratings was Star not Charlemagne and Wendy.

Additionally, im Indian, i knew of Howard and Wendy, watched them, because obviously, legend. But i havent seen a single Charlam... whatever his name is ep, nor the breakfast club. The dick riding is crazzy in this one. They arent smart enough to differentiate between audience because of a personality from audience because of a platform.
