condemned a inducer motor on that sane style unit up here last week, it had what looked to be a large cocoon or some type of insect nest in it.the blade was froze, just gave it a lil push and a whole bunch of poo shot out.motor ran but I wrote it up for replacement.Thanks again for another great video, love these in depth trouble shooters.

That was a tricky one, I never seen that issue. I would of replaced the flame sensor and then maybe the board. Normally if the gas valve can be adjusted,its working. Thank you for posting this, this will probably save me this winter. Awesome job!!!

with all that rust in the heat ex-changer you may have a crack in that burner tube. check by just turning on the blower fan and taking a long bic lighter and running it up in the tube about 2 inches and watch the flame to see if it gets to dancing or is blown out. if so you got a cracked tube.

Yo this video is awesome. I think it just goes to show the routine that us techs get into. We already assume we know what the problem is before we even get to the call. And this goes to show you you can't get stuck in that mindset. Awesome video.

I work on these everyday up in Canada, no matter how much you clean you will be back for a call back unless you change the board, sensor and ignitor every time.

so on a 2 stage heat gv if you read 1.7 wc on first stage, should second stage automatically double to 3.5wc?? hope my question makes sense thanks
@NorCal-refrigeration8 жыл бұрын
squirtle hvac second stage should be 3.2-3.5" wc on that unit.
@youngrikhvac99198 жыл бұрын
so if you regulated 2nd stage to 3.5 since it was 3.0 in the video will first stage have gone up automatically?
@youngrikhvac99198 жыл бұрын
how exactly did you know gas valve was at fault? if that makes it easier haha. I'm barley second year apprentice
@NorCal-refrigeration8 жыл бұрын
squirtle hvac no 1 stage has its own adjustment
@NorCal-refrigeration8 жыл бұрын
squirtle hvac you can see on the manometer the delay. The gas valve is slow to open. And fluctuated.
@joeshearer12478 жыл бұрын
Looked like your meter was a little slow to respond there
@joeshearer12478 жыл бұрын
You had a gas valve on your truck for that thing?
@NorCal-refrigeration8 жыл бұрын
Joe Shearer I just sucked and blew my meter it cycles just fine. No lag. The valve came off there other unit which is the same unit for the back kitchen they never use the heat on that unit.

yea, ok, i could see that. too bad they cant discharge some of that kitchen heat into the dining room. any ideas anyone ? Put a water coil in the kitchen and one in the air handler for the dining area, then Pump water through it. instant heat removal from kitchen to dining area. cooling kitchen too. heating dining area. Free Heat !
