Thanks for watching! Had a lot of fun jamming these solos! It's all from one take yet again, so there's a few mishaps along the way but it's all good. Some notes: Generally during the harmonies, you're looking at what's played in the right ear. The exception is during Save Me, because the first guitar harmony in that song starts exclusively in the left ear so I kept with that - it sounded strange reversing the harmonies mixed with the original track peeking through. Also, in the Stage's first solo I played the lower harmony in that crazy slidey bit but the on screen tab shows the higher harmony. Higher's solo is played with the sustainiac on throughout. I noticed progress stagnated whenever I played comfortable songs/ exercises over and over. Would be awesome if you document your progress on youtube or somewhere similar!

Hmm, I've been playing 16 years now but I think a lot of those foundations were set up in years5-10. Had more time then, now it's about getting cleaner and more consistent rather than faster/better, and making sure I don't lose my skills as life takes away all the free time haha

Cheers! I just used Archetype Petrucci I think. My usual Neural DSP'S are Petrucci or Nolly X for leads. Played around with some of the presets, sorry but can't remember which - I quite like Kikos Leading Star tone, Nolly and Rabeas lead presets as well, then tweak to taste. Low bass, rolling back some of the high-mids in the EQ. Then afterwards I have an EQ plugin and generally notch out some around 2khz and 4khz (I reduce them heavily and see if it sounds better before committing to it). But yeah, from reading online, it seems like the biggest factors are your IR and EQ. All the best!

Cheers! I'm playing through a Hughes and Kettner GM 40 amp, but the sound on the video is from Archetype Petrucci. It's nice to have an amp to hear my playing with low/no latency, but I prefer to use amp sims for videos since it's so easy to tweak your sound afterwards:)

@@Ghallium ahhh yeah, man its really a spray-and-pray approach haha. Ideally you'd economy pick it, but my economy picking wasn't consistent on this solo so I just try and mute the high E with my picking hand when I go to the b string, then have the b slightly muted when I'm back on the e

Hey thanks man. I've never played much with mid/high level ibanez guitars, so its hard to say! But personally, the Syn custom S looks better, costs more (at least where I live), and the sustainiac is a nice tool to have. So I'd lean towards yes, but remember that I'm no ibanez expert 😆

Hey man, I had a listen! I think the solos pretty straight forward, so I think my time is better spent on trickier songs. It would be a really good ear training exercise as a beginner/intermediate, highly recommend that you slow the song down in something like Reaper and try to figure out the notes!
