The guy with the blow torch had his own episode in a netflix documentary about street food around the world, forgot the exact name, unfortunately. His story was quite sad, but he was very proud of the izakaya, it was his dream. Glad to see the place is still so popular!

Yeah, man, he had a rough childhood.. been a long time since I’ve seen it, but pretty sure it was Street Food: Asia. So awesome to see how successful and upbeat he is at his izakaya!

The persimmon leaf wrapped sushi was in Nara not Osaka. Nara prefecture is landlocked and the way to preserve fish is to salt and wrap it up in leaves.

Hey If you are in Nagoya you should try Solo Pizza in Osu, the owner won the World pizza awards in Naples in 2010. Also try Ishobin in the Noritake mall, its a chain restaurant known for their Matsusaka beef, this restaurant also has a conveyer belt for the food.

Hi 👋 Mike, you are kinda doing here with the flamethrower 🔥 - will do a video on masas . The masa makes the restaurant experience. One of my favorite ❤️ sushi experiences was Masa Sushi 🍣 is Camarillo CA. The food was excellent with like 50 specialty rolls. It was a custom that when you ordered a beer 🍺 you would order one for the masa too! 🎉❤😂 By the end of a Saturday he was as drunk as everyone else. It made for a lively fun sushi experience. The flamethrower created a similar 🎊 🎉❤😊😂😂😂 experience. I noticed that at most sushi 🍣 restaurants the masa wants you to have a really great 👍 ❤😊😂😂🎉🎉 experience. People should always thank the staff and the masa on there way out. “Arigato!” Funny 😂story is that I went all through Japan saying the masculine version of thank you 🙏 😊❤😂😂😂
