La versión latina es la única que omite en nombre de Sera en la letra de la canción

I am impressed as a KZbin channel of English Spe akers publish videos of the songs of series and films in other languages with their translations into English so that all the English speakers know the dubbing that they end up reaching the other countries and that both They change the voices and that so much change there, since I suppose you most often see everything in your original language that is usually English, just amazing all this🤩

1:15 I speak spanish and there was a small mistake. Lute said "this useless is just guilty". She's calling Angel Dust useless. If she wanted to say "it's pointless" she could've said "es inútil". "Ésta" is for specific people or objects, "es" means "it's" or "is"
@Ángelcol55333 ай бұрын
A some yes, I Spanish Speaker but I learned that "Esta" in English is "This" and not "It's", in Spanish " It's" is "Es", a example is ( Es una rosa)-( It's a rose) or ( Esta es mi comida)-( This is my food). Are you see the diference?

i once did some youtube caption translations for this song in the latino dub, gotta say your translation for this song is so much better! I learnt a lot about improving my own work from watching. I forgot the word "heathen" when i was trying to translate profano lol

I'm glad you think so of my work ^^ I've been translating for a very long time now, so I can say that practice does make a difference. Keep captioning videos, you'll just how much you're gonna improve over time ^^

@@FlamSparks I hope I don’t come off as cheesy but I’ve been watching your videos (unknowingly sometimes) since I was young. You inspired me to pursue this as a hobby and language study in general. The first video I watched was le Seine. Thank you, it sounds like I’m exaggerating but you changed my life in an unexpected way :))

I'm truly happy with this dub, in general. It feels as if they knew the importance of this series in the local media. And I've never seen a musical being dubbed in Chile, and this first impression was good. In this particular song, I think the adaptation could have been better because I think it does not follow the metric as well as other adaptations from the series (I understand that they're given quite little time to do them, so it is understandable). About the lyrics and translation: -What did you mean by "The gals" ( 2:43 )? I interpret the phrase "Qué valor" as "She (Vaggie) has the courage to tell you not to trust an angel (while also being an angel)" I don't know if you understood it that way. -I'm pretty sure she says "Este inútil (Angel) solo es culpable" (This useless one [quite literal] is quite simply guilty) refering to Angel. -2:49 I think she may be refering to the past ("Cambió la suerte y está a nuestro favor" - "The odds changed and they're in our favor") because it would sound odd like you interpreted it, but I don't blame you because the accent/stress is being forcefully changed into the second syllable to match the rhythm. Beside these minor things, the translation is really well done. :D
@AdanSolas8 ай бұрын
Oh interesting, I interpreted «Qué valor» as more like «That’s a good one» (as in response to a joke), referring to the irony of Vaggie being an angel and so on. As for 2:49, yup, you’re right.

Oopsie, typo, should have been "galls", thank you for pointing it out

@@FlamSparks Ahh, I should have guessed; no problem!

For "Cambió" there's no any stress in the O, so I guess they mean it in that way.
@TouLo8 ай бұрын
@@slayeribn6821 Ya sé que ellos no lo pronuncian así, sólo digo que como suena poco natural, es más probable que hayan pensado en adaptarlo en pasado y lo terminaron pronunciando así para que se acoplara al ritmo de la canción.

Amazing job for the translation! Although, I think the "Para que alguien obtenga una oportunidad" part should be "No tenga una oportunidad". I hear a clearer N than a B in her voice.
@TouLo8 ай бұрын
No tendría ningún sentido en el contexto de la serie, porque en la frase "Cumple lo que dices tú...", Sera acepta que eso que escribió Adán es lo que se necesita para "obtener una oportunidad" (en el cielo). Decir lo contrario sería contradecirse. Creo que es más probable lo que entendió FlamSparks.
@slayeribn68218 ай бұрын

Personally I would prefer if they kept the “Sera” in the beginning. The song feels a bit off without it
@davidcoman49428 ай бұрын
Idk man, honestly I feel it sounds a bit more natural without it but whatever.
@thisiswatermelonpumpkin17138 ай бұрын
@@davidcoman4942 I just think it gives a different feeling, like when your mom is mad at you and say your full name instead of just “son” or anything else. But it does sounds more natural tho

Is the line not "Asqueroso, profano", with it just being two adjectives in series for emphasis? That's how I always assumed it was rather than using profano as a noun.
