Hey Mark, I'm very noob at this game, I currently struggle with the basics like landing and proper flight. This type of tutorials are helping me slowly get a firmer grasp about the depth of flying, so I appreciate it. After the in-game tutorials, what are the next steps? Which videos in your channel do you feel I should focus on?

Hi Maurice! You’re in luck, I just updated my beginner’s playlist yesterday with what I think you’ll need to have a grasp of to start really enjoying the game. Feel free to ask any questions you have and I’ll get back to you when I can!

When I extend flaps on landing for some of the larger jets the plane want to vertically lift up in a very unrealistic way. I can't figure out if its a settings bug or im doing something wrong? for the 787 for example at 90knots flaps 30 itl want to tilt up really aggressively, it makes it almost impossible to land

I think it’s just the model for the 787 that needs improvement. Some lift is normal, but that sounds excessive.

Thank you for this video. I’m not a real pilot and am relatively new to flight sim. I almost always just start on the runway, ready to take off. I’m interested in learning more about how to do things correctly and have seen videos about start up procedures. I’m confused about fuel mixture, and when and why the fuel pump is turned off during flight. Would it be possible to do a video explaining these very basic things for noobs like me? Thanks

I have an intro level video on throttle/prop/mixture coming out in a few weeks. Keep an eye on the channel :)

I definitely recommend following the in-game checklists, especially at the beginning. If you really want to learn a plane the best thing you can do is multiple short hops around a given area in different weather conditions and weights. General rule, mixture is rich until a certain altitude. On a Cessna 152, you want to start lowering the fuel mix after 3000 feet. You can also tell by what kind of noise the engine makes. You'll notice when it wants to choke out and runs rough.
