That's why you have to monitor weather 100 miles upstream from where you are. I got wiped-out by a "100 year flood" in Texas many years ago - it hadn't rained AT ALL in our area.

Thank you for sharing this great video. We will be heading to Quartsite sometime in the near future. I always get nervous when I see other KZbinrs park their Van's or RV's in the wash. We are homebased in North Texas we get flash floods pretty regularly. That water was definitely moving not really fast however if a person got knocked off their feet they may not get up before they take into their lungs. They may not drown there however a person could dry drown which happens more than people realize. Again thank you for sharing such important information. We are a fulltime family we travel with our younger 3 daughters and share our adventures on KZbin.

We bought some arizona scrub land in Cochise County Luckily, none if it ended up being in a wash. I don't know why they allow selling parcels in a wash. Your video reminds me of when we arrived at Zion during a rain storm. I thought that our visit was going to suck, but just the opposite happened; we were delighted by the miniature waterfalls running down the rocks. The rest of the day was beautiful!

I was at ehrenberg when a storm hit, night time i couldnt see anything. I decided i wanted to scoot further away from the wash beside me so went to move my rig but even with my headlight on it was just solid brown out, i just kinda blindly rolled further away from the wash a few feet and hoped for the best. There was no getting out of there. Very sobering.
