Because Marvel vs DC fights are popular and they tend to be the main speedsters in their teams, plus its not like these events are shown to the majority of people like say Superman reversing time by flying around the Earth so they don't know what the Flash is capable of. With the new X-Men movies showing Quicksilver casually just fucking shit up in super speed this makes them think he is extremly fast, because for the majority of people, they haven't seen Wally West run to the end of time or run faster than an instant.

the weird thing is, Quicksilver beats 1.5 out of three Flashes depending on the speedster and the location. Jay Garrik: Quicksilver always beats Jay since Jay is not connected to the speed force Wally West: Quicksilver always loses to Wally in the DC universe but always beats Wally in the Marvel Universe due to the complete absense of a speed force dimension Barry Allen: Quicksilver will always lose to Barry in both universes due to Barry being the energy source that creates the speed force, thus always taking it with him wherever he goes

SparkGold Actually any speedster powered by the speedforce is useless in Marvel because they get depowered, the only actual instance where Barry and Wally were in the Marvel universe (actual as in we knew it was the Marvel universe and it was actually them), they both slowly lost their powers. In Avengers vs Justice League, Wally enters the Marvel universe and pretty quickly loses his powers, then when time fucks up for both universes Barry comes back and he also starts losing his power in the Marvel universe and thats the only time we've seen these two in Marvel, not only that but that crossover seems canon or at least canon to DC since it actually affected things in the main universe so DC has shown that they'd lose their powers in the Marvel universe. Also, Jay Garrick can tap into the speed force or at least I am pretty sure he did after meeting Barry but he didn't immeditily so he is the only speedster who'd still have powers in a non DC universe.

I have seen Wally beating teleportation (The last point in this video) being marveled about often without context. To be clear, Wally not only beat teleportation, he tuned every radio in the world to a certain frequency before the gamblers finished teleporting BUT he was borrowing the speed of every being on the planet, including Superman, Wonderman, Jay Garrick etc AND was also bestowed the speed of Krakkl (spelling?) who he was racing. Krakkl's speed included the speed of every radio frequency being in his dimension too.

Let's say the Flash ran around the planet. To us it'd a microsecond or less. But what about his perspective? Did he have to run for more than 10000 hours, from his perspective) through a frozen landscape? The number of human steps needed to cover the perimeter of the planet hasn't changed, neither has the length of his legs. Has this been explored/explained in any story?

From by basic understanding of physics, F=M*A, and so the more mass being applied to a surface, the more force is being exerted on that surface. The flash is gaining momentum very quickly, and with extra momentum becomes extra mass. If you were to take a 1lb ball and throw it at 15mph, and it continued accelerating by 15mph every second, how many seconds would it take for that ball to gain 4500lbs of force behind it? The answer is 300 seconds, or just under 6 minutes. Flash is moving at a starting speed of approximately,100mph(ease of math), The Flash weighs, say, roughly 180lbs as an adult. 180lbs at 100mph exerts an amount of force equal to 18,000lbs of force from his starting speed. If you were to push against the Earth with 9 metric tons of force, you could go very fast. Now, if Flash continues accelerating by 253ish mph per second, in 15 seconds the Flash would reach Mach 5. 180lbs exerting a force onto the ground at Mach 5 would exert a force equal to about 684,000lbs. So to answer your question Jugo, The Flash is fast enough that even to him, running around the world takes probably around 5 minutes.

Yeah, that kind of bothers me about the Flash TV show. (It might happen in the comics but I've seen it multiple times on the show.) Barry shouldn't be able to research things very quickly online because the computer takes the same amount of time to load a page, etc as someone at normal speed. Using super speed online would probably be really boring because you'd click on something and have to wait a few seconds before you could do anything else. Then again, the times I've seen it have been at S.T.A.R. labs, so maybe their computers are really fast. Does anyone know how fast cutting-edge computers load?

I always thought it would be cool if there was a robot speedster, that was fueled by the speed force. Something like XLR8 (accerlate, haha puns...) or VLCT (Velocity ). And it's brain would be a supercomputer, powered by speed force and could process information even faster than Barry. But Flash would beat it, with the one thing the robot doesn't have: creativity. Thoughts?

Michael Slenderman no he basically beats everyone else zoom reverse flash and savitar is basically him he is kinda a clone but I believe proper term is time remanent in tv show also jay Gerrick is probably the slowest and I'm not sure if Wally or Jessie is quite on his lvl he raced Wally and won but Wally ran up the building while he vibrated through so... Another thing is Jessie we don't quite know her speed just that she isn't faster than the flash yet...

Dudes, Flash is so OP; the only way he could be faster than teleportation, though, is if he can travel back in time before he reaches its destination; like, the tele-porters teleport at time 0; at time 1, they’re at the Finishing line; at time t where 0 < t < 1, say 0.8 well he had to go back in time at least 1 second, or at least -0.2, so that he could arrive before them, which is before 0. That’s, of course, if he travels at constant speed. It’s the ONLY way.
