Fights didnt last for long back then. With few exceptions that should've never gotten away, but in S1 the excuse was ''incompetence'' of a newly training Barry so it was okay.

The first season had some good acting, good cinematography and good camera work. Now the show looks like an episode of Two and a Half men. As for the acting, aside from the guy who plays Chester, all the actors have this "Is it payday yet" look when they deliver their lines. Then again who can blame them, between Cisko's awkward pop culture references and some character telling Flash "Run, Barry, run" every other episode, it's a miracle that the actors are even sober during filming.

By that S5 it is clearly evidence that the show name is "The Flash" but the plot was towards Iris West and Her Family drama dragging the plot. Iris this and that team leader out of nowhere, Joe this and that oh Look I found a new love etc .... The show was drag by them... Not even a single Superhero ever highlight the other side... They highlight the main protagonist part more.. Barry problem should've been how to stop the villain + his own conflict about super hero means but instead he is involved in West's drama since day 1.

This show is really good at making the flash look slow. The one thing i hate only up to season 6 is how repetitive the "You werent fast enough" plot bandage was. One time it was reasonable was when wells had to steal some of barrys speed for the zoom ransom. any time after that is just lazy. they can at least add effects to savatar stabbing iris to make it look like barry was "TOO SLOW" nah barry just has shit reaction time in those scenes.

Show was enjoyable when it had Cisco rely on his wits and a Doctor Wells that actually knows what he is doing. Also a Caitlyn for the medical needs, not just going ''Nah, he'll be fine.'' route. Then they made Caitlyn a superhuman for.. reasons? Which never seemed interesting to me. Seeing Killer Frost and Reverb on Earth-2 was interesting BECAUSE original characters didnt have the same powers. But their dg's not only achieved powers, they too once worked with Harrison Wells. Vibe wasnt a bad character overall, Cisco was still a good character untill they butchered him and turned him into a ''drama'' person. Then again, Flash is supposed to be this hopeful, sarcastic, nonchalant dude....

I loved season 6 but it came with some flaws you listed maybe kept the dying speedforce lowering the speed of every speedster when using it yes making godspeed a bit more powerful after crisis ended and stuff and his goal is to steal the flashes speed and just X him off and maybe the last couple eps could be used to defeating that mirror meta and getting iris out and brining him bloodwork during early season 7

I thought the flash season 4 was my favorite. It got better and better up to season 4 and then got worse from then on. Season 6 wasn’t total trash, but it was DEFINITELY worse. Season 7 is even worse than 6

Might be a hot take in your comments but: the entire Arrowverse has been falling apart since 2016-ish. I think it says a lot that the best CW DC shows are detached from the Arrowverse, and it was the dumbest thing ever for the CW to cancel Constantine (or maybe not seeing what this became). The pivot to have all these shows in a shared universe was absolutely stupid and, even considering the low budget, these shows have been garbage tier for awhile. My theory is the core issue is the Arrowverse was given just too big a stable of characters, so, rather than have a small core of characters and villains that get developed over time to keep the show alive, they are constantly introducing new characters to solve new problems (or create them in the case of new villains), so you end up with this problem where later seasons are just a mess of side characters that seem to exist as widgets to solve singular problems each season then go back into stasis. This also reinforces a lot of the lazy writing we see as the shows go on.

I agree with you that there was too much going on. As far as the whole mirror-verse / Black Hole storyline I was never completely clear what exactly the story was. And did they ever actually defeat Bloodwork or was he deleted in the post Crisis reset? 😳

I haven't seen a single episode of flash but I did watch the first 4 seasons of Arrow as they came out. I am also a bit of a comic nerd and love DC. Both Flashpoint and Crisis are 1 and 2 for biggest Flash stories in history. Both events reset the entire DC universe permanitly. The show could've completely reset, the CW could've used either event to reset all their shows. But they clearly only wrote the events because those are the 2 most known Flash stories. Stories on that level are usually done as a climax to dozens of comics and are done to refresh everything. The writers wanted to have that, but also have all the old characters and keep their arcs, but get rid of characters they didn't like. They used these massive events so carelessly all to put a band aid on bad writing. Flash is too op to have multiple 23 episode seaons. They should've realized this season 1 and cut down all the pointless shitty villains. 10 hour long episodes, give the budget to the writers and animation teams, trim up the storylines. 1 Major villain a season and several less threatening one offs.
