Flashback: 9 second all motor SOHC

#ThrowbackThursday, circa 2009.
The record breaking, naturally aspirated #Bisimoto #F22A #SOHC #HondaInsight at the #IDRC nationals in #Fontana, CA.
This was the testbed for many of our products and it ran a best official time of 9.2 in a Unibody chassis, while being the first FWD #AllMotor to hit 150mph.

Running a D-series gearbox...how do you like that H pattern shifting at 10,600 RPMs?

Ive had F series's for over a decade and still have one in my JDM 1990 Accord Coupe 2.0si Exclusive (CB6) . Wish i had gotten my hands on one of your camgears back in the day but i was a broke kid... Now im broke with kids lol Ive currently got an F22a SOHC head on my F20A DOHC block mated to an open diff H22 transmission. Eventuality i went to the dark side and turbocharged it with a big Holset He351. Im still curious about the secrets to your build all these years later though! F18 crank, Carbs, massive cam and crazy high compression? I would love to see an in depth overview of the F series secrets! I can't believe you made that head survive all those rpms!

@@Bisimoto idrc really tried to push vw air cooled aside.... when the fact is they're still imports. My dad raced in all motor class.
