@MrDibara8 ай бұрын
Another World was... _okay, not "straight forward",_ but what you needed to do you vould figure out by yourself with what was on the stage at the moment. A little more intuitive. Flashback has moments where you need to actually converse with characters (the New Washington stage) and that could get some of us off guard if we were still young kids barely learning how to read yet.
@gbxgbxgbx8 ай бұрын
@@MrDibara yes it was far more complex, AW was a straight story, not much figuring out. I couldn't really read English well back then so it was just too hard for me. But the execution of this game, man, the complexity, the short animations, frankly it was hard to believe Amiga 500 could have pulled it off.

I just finished this, the walkthrough helped me out in some parts. Holds up quite well over a quarter of a century (!) later. We take cutscenes, a storyline and a decent amount of gameplay for granted and Flashback had all of these. In an era where one-disk simple games were standard. Never got to try finishing it back in the day because the copy I had had a bad sector and crashed very early in level 2! I gave it a go on a SNES emulator maybe 15 or so years ago but didn't finish it. Amiga version definitely has better sound.
