I'm running tpu at 40 mm/s on my ender 5plus at 235 degrees. With a microswiss NG extruder . Feeding from a dryfix at 65 degrees. Usually dry at 70 degrees for 3 plus hours beforehand. Seems to be working well. Thanks for the video, it gave me several new ideas.

Using an ADM5 Pro. It has been very finiky with thr TPU but all else blows away my K1. Been fighting with it all day to print covers for keys (the colored sleeves for keys to tell what door a key is for). Finally got it to work. The generic TPU 235 is too hot for most TPUs that I can tell you will see it start to extrude even when hearing up so this is the clue. The settings I was able to get to work perfectly were 225/45. The speed setting in Orca. Use 150 for all, then for acceleration just halve each number. Now printing flawlessly. Using multiple TPU brands but currently Hatchbox with these settings. Also, for the 'Clog issue mentioned', you do not have to use the PETG as stated. What works for me is to turn thr printer completely off, wait for it to cool down fully, then just perform a TPU load and it will struggle for a bit but eventually get the circle extrusion like normal with that lovy extra waste we are all used to lol. Hope that helps Great videos...keep them up!

Thanks for sharing - might try TPU in a few months once I get comfortable with PLA and maybe PETG. Will keep your advice and the advice in the comments in mind.

🇨🇦/🇺🇸... I found that the BRAND makes a difference. A cheaper brand that I used for the feet on an old Black & Decker Workmate bench printed pretty well. However, I was very frustrated with the Overture brand TPU doing pretty much what your experience was but when I printed it on a Bambu A1 Mini... it worked! I think that the settings were similar but now I have to try again with the enclosure DOORS OPEN on the 5M Pro and see if that makes a difference.

Thank you for sharing this stuff! Maybe sometime you could do a video on your upgrades to the machine? Or for people who want to upgrade the printer to other things, like jailbreaking the klipper or mounting a stealthburner head?

Funny you had just put this video up while I was in the middle of doing a 16.5hr large print with tpu. It came out great and so did the couple smaller ones I made after that one.

I made my daughter TPU phonecase with gyroid fill 0 bottom / 0 top and it looks awesome, i recommend trying. My only problem with TPU was issue with rolling full spool, but fixed that easaily

I just attempted to my first tpu print. Dried the filament for 4hrs then tried printing a squishy ball. I scaled it up a tad and settings to recommended settings. Ball printed hard on the bottom squishy in the middle and hard on the top. Ever run into this or something similar issue?

Did you not print directly from the dryer while that's running? I have the A5MP and will soon print with TPU for the first time. 😮

been printing TPU for 10 years on an Ender 3 60mm+ sec no problem took a while to figure it out bigger nozzle .6 or .8 will be more forgiving proper retraction is a must if you pull back too much this can cause a clog. Im on the high end of temp 235 to 245 and 80c for the bed NO cooling at all.

Were you ever able to figure out how to get it to work consistently? Mine isn’t working at all. It barely wants to push any through the nozzle. My ender 3 V2 prints the same roll of TPU with no problem btw.

Which brand of TPU did you use? I might just try a 500 or 250 (if they have it) size to try. Thanks

If someone were to come up with a type of 3D printer laxative to cure a TPU constipated extruder, they'd have a million dollar idea on their hands. If you're printing TPU alot, would an extruder larger than the standard .04mm be more conducive for printing TPU on a finicky 3D printer?

I use FlashPrint I have custom process. 225 nozzle, 60 bed temp, 2 shells, 25% infill (3d), 3 bottom and 4 top Layers, .2 layer hgt, 100 mm to 120mm depending on color but 100 is good for all.

Using the larger 0.6 or 0.8 nozzle could help. 95A TPU is also preferable.

Curious! I'm going to attempt to print clothing textile with TPU on my AD5M 😀 My pattern will only be a few layers high, but I will be assembling my experimental garment in pieces and then using different colored TPU patterns printed / infused on tulle fabric as overlays / decorations. My intention is not to create big 3d things with it, but big .. FLAT things (ha ha) This video has been part of my homework watching and rewatching during my research before diving into the TPU pool!

The printer comes with a metal purge rod that can be fed into the extruder from the top to push out any stuck filament.
@FigureFeedback

I tried that, but felt I was pushing too hard with no results. So I tried the filament load function so the moving gears could help out.

@@FigureFeedback I made the mistake once of running the extruder while inserting the rod. I won’t try that again. lol
