Awesome video!! I’ve been eyeballing a new printer for a long time and was excited to see this one. I tried finding reviews on the non pro 5m and found they were very limited, I did see someone say it was close to a P1S for half the price, so I said why not let’s try it for $299. I’m very impressed so far. I also put it in myself to create a basic video of walking through the first steps as I couldn’t find videos when I ordered it. Now it looks like others have made videos, and you have a well with some great production values. I’m glad more coverage is becoming available.

I went from a Ender 3 to the Flashforge 5M and it was such a massive upgrade! Auto-leveling alone is worth paying extra money for. This printer is fast and I've had no problems with it so far. I've put a lot of prints through it and I am super happy. The Ender 3 can probably be calibrated to work well, but I'm more interested in a ready to use printer and I don't want to spend hours on end trying to figure out the right settings etc. I am also happy with the Orca-flashforge software that handles slicing and will send the files to the printer over the internet for printing. That means I can be at work and think of something I want to print and I can send it home to my printer and have it ready for me by the time I get home.

Great review! I started with an Ender 3 Pro, and enjoyed it but felt extremely limited and, often frustrated. As a beginner, I felt aggravated at times at how hard it was to keep level. I also upgraded a lot of parts, including installing nylon bushings under the levelling knobs and the Micro Swiss Direct Drive Extruder. Yesterday (4/19), I "upgraded" (I hope) to the Flash Forge Adventurer 5M and hope to make more progressive prints. We'll see how that turns out. If it's successful, I may keep climbing the 3D printing ladder. As fiddly as the Ender 3 is, I will still keep printing smaller parts on it while my Flash Forge prints heavier duty stuff. I'm figuring it out as I go and videos like this help. I'm not in it to take over the 3D printing world, but to just to have some fun and make some props, and kits, that people can enjoy!

Flashforge are one of the few companies that were making "works out of the box" printers for some time. Unlike Creality Enders that need modifications to make them work well. They won't reach the travel or print speeds in the small size of the build, but it is nice to see that on paper they can do it. People get a little too hung up on mm/s measurements as though it is the be all and end all. Smaller parts will never reach those theoretical speeds

You really are an ambassador for this printer. I hope they recognise that and send you the enclosure for free. You deserve it. I bought this printer because of your videos and do not regret it. It arrived in TWO days. It was printing the test cube within half an hour. It won't print ABS though. I've tried everything. Could you try and make a video on it? I got it to stick to the bed using a raft but the layers won't adhere. It just lifts and cracks.

Problem with printer loosing it's position actually is very common to any machinery equipped with stepper motors with no feedback. From my years of experience with CNC milling machine tools, it may come from both mechanical or electronical reasons. 1) check if printer's head hits anything. 2) thoroughly clean the guides, ball-screw pairs and drop some oil on it. 3) if mechanics works perfectly well, check all connections of cables and wires going from drivers to stepping motors, plug them thighter into their sockets. 4) alternatively, try to lower the accelerations. 5) if all above didn't work, the problem may be with electronics and it this case there is little you can do. Unfortunately, the exact reason of errors in stepping motors is very hard to pinpoint. Even if problem is purely electrical, there is still a bumping sound im the moment the error occures and it may seems that mechanical parts is suddenly stuck or hit something.
