On 11 March 2017 the pupils from dancing school Keltisch Dansje, led by star pupil Kasha van der Poel, performed a flashmob, showcasing their dancing skills in the main hall of Utrecht Central Station.
I had the privilege of providing musical backing to this awesome show, along with a group of amazing musicians I gathered for this. It was a wonderful experience and we'll definitely do this again next year!
For those who are interested, the dances are called the "Walls of Limerick" and the "Bonfire Reel". The tunes are two traditional Irish jigs, "Haste to the Wedding" and "The Banks of Lough Gowna", followed by two reels, an Irish traditional called "The Otter's Holt" and one of my own compositions, "Reel for Angus".
