I was thinking the same thing. We used to have flash mobs where people would come together to do something fun and wonderful. Now we have a crazy virus, shut downs and lock downs, people losing their jobs, their businesses and their minds, protests, riots and lootings and the destruction of statues and cities. How did we get here and how do we get back to a more peaceful and more joyful society??? It's just sad!

My mam, sister and her 68 year old mother got up and danced before the music finished there were about a dozen old Irish ladies dancing like these young girls. I’m American and I’ll go out on a limb and try to answer a common question here. The reason, many people aren’t smiling at first is because they’re in awe. If this happened in an airport here, most of us would do the exact same. The level of practice that it takes to be able to this is unbelievable. Americans would probably do what everyone here did and enjoy the performance...and then give them a massive applause when they finish. Great job! 🙏🏻😇

@@TampaJohn No, not trolling at all. I simply don't understand ANY national pride. It's not like you DID anything to merit personal pride any more than I've done anything to merit pride in Britain. The fact that a bunch of talented young people can perform an Irish dance in a mall hardly seems like reason enough, especially as you don't even LIVE in Ireland if your name is anything to go by. But no problem. If this makes you feel a sense nationalistic pride, feel free.

@@Martial-Mat The great thing is that you don’t need to understand. It’s not about you. And it’s not about what I did, it’s a pride that builds when I see Irish people do good things. That being said, that’s why I have pride in my heritage.

@@TampaJohn I realise it's not about me, but when you make a post like that in a public forum, you invite comment. I descended from people in Wales, Italy, and I have a touch of native American blood. I feel zero connection to any of them, far less pride. I recently discovered I have close family in Texas - with one exception, I not only don't feel close, I actively dislike them. So it always interests me when I hear people express nationalistic pride. It especially interests when I hear Americans express pride for a country they've never lived in even though they could, particularly Ireland or Scotland - nations most of them are many generations removed from. o you feel a greater affinity for Ireland than America? Do you look at Ireland as the "home country?" Or is perhaps the novelty of heritage that goes back further than a few hundred years? I can certainly understand historical fascination. I am surrounded by castles and ancient buildings.

I love ❤️ Irish dancing, music and food. I took my daughter for her 21st birthday just before the pandemic to Scotland and Ireland for a month of adventures and fun. I drove everywhere, ate at local pubs and watched them dancing and I tried dancing; it’s amazing.

How cool was that for a group of young people to go out into the middle of an Airport and do this awesome dance!🥰👍🏻👍🏻❤️ I’m so amazed at people who can do this type of Irish dancing. I’m part Irish and love watching this type of dancing and it never gets old either. God bless these young people for doing that for the people. It would be cool if all Airports had some kind of dancing for people. Quite entertaining.👍🏻❤️🥰🙏😘❌⭕️

I am ever so thankful for this treasure ! Oct 21, 1999 I married a wonderful woman and we had Kali dancers from the school of the understudy of the female lead from Riverdance at our wedding. Her students performed each dance then taught us and our guests ... Awesome to see a bit of culture preserved. Thank You Aer Lingus , and Superb Thanks to these young performers !
