FLATBREAD CHICKEN CLUB SANDWICH RECIPE - SORTED

Could this be the ULTIMATE sandwich? We think so!!
We stick with a fairly traditional mix of grilled chicken, bacon and tomato for our club sandwich but throw in a few twists along to way, including avocado mayo and homemade fennel seed flatbread.

I tried this and it was so good... But instead of putting fennel seeds in the bread dough, I added caraway seeds and it was soooo good!

I love those massive, packed sandwiches. My favourite sandwich is Onion Baji sandwiches/kebabs! Mashing them up with chillie, yogurt/mayo & tsp Kechup or something tastes like heaven!!!

You can, but the bread tends to discolour over time so it may not look as nice, but the flavour will be fine.

I wish the hotels I stayed at can have club sandwich of this caliber....Marriott certainly does not... Also, should I squeeze extra lemon juice in the avacado mayo to keep the bright color, or is the vinegar in the mayo sufficient?

In Denmark club sandwiches are different, we always use curry mayonnaise and we usually don't serve it with anything :)

The bread looks awesome and the avocado mayonnaise mix is genius. I will do that next time I need a topping. I bet that would be great with turkey too. I think if I make the sandwich though will leave out the egg so I don't get sick. :P - Heidi

I think it would be awesome if you could do a sort of "at the source" type thing for very basic and common place ingredients that everyone takes for granted now days. Like how to get cream and butter from milk, how flower is made, maybe how some spices are prepared and stuff like that. I feel like it's mostly taken for granted now days that we can go to the shops and pick stuff up, and rarely know where it comes from! :)
