Winston primal gives you 1000 hp, extra mobility and the ability to displace people. Going back to spawn and switching to hammond gives you more than 1000 hp if you press E, gives you extra mobility and the ability to displace people.

a big difference between high tier and low tier ults that nobody seems to be talking about: high tier ults you can generally pop just as the fight begins and it will significantly increase your win chances. low tier ults you generally have to wait until the chaos has begun - this is what makes them situational. you can't use dragonblade or bob or molten core to open a fight because they're super easy to counter when the enemy team can focus on what's happening. by contrast, ults like EMP, grav and flux create situations that substantially weaken the enemy team and allow your team to win. they're not easily counterable (except by other ults) even when used to open a fight.

Proposing echo's ult be changed to game changing because it has the potential to copy any other ult in the game changing category and it gives echo a second life. Even poorly copied ults still get some value and a second life. I think it's less OP than it used to be, and the nice part is it requires the player to be confident in using all the ults to get max value

It's not a fair comparison though. Like you can't get the full value of rally by copying Brig, because building the ult is hard and requires you to int on a defensive hero, plus the timer will end it. Plus a huge part of how strong rally is is that you give armour to your dps. But when copying Brig you're down a dps. And for other ults like nano or something, echo ult builds way slower so you have to take that into account. Finally echo ult is the most likely ult to get zero value in the game. E.G., You're way more likely to get focused down and die before you can build e.g. Grav when copying Zarya than to get your Grav eaten as actual Zarya. If that happens you're getting no value. It's a strong ult which would be broken but it has massive obvious drawbacks. I think impactful is fair.

@@mcuniboob5751 well kinda, but the difference is that as Echo you're forced to hard engage as non-rally Brig to try build ult to then get a couple seconds of rally Brig. As normal Brig you're not forced to hard engage until after you've built rally, at which point your survivability is way higher. Also if you survive as Brig you get the whole rally obviously. As echo you probably don't.

If the enemy has good hitscan riptire is reduced to a scare tactic, you spin it behind cover for a bit to freak them out while your team chips then bring it out where it immediately gets shot down lmao

I always saw Mei as a 2nd Zaria she can save herself with a bubble like effect and uses a wall to save her teammates or other creative uses too and her ultimate is basically a grav with more range in exchange for a less precise follow up.

I think flux is strong when paired with other ults like pulse bomb and dva bomb due to low ranks being difficult to kill tanks and a few healers like bap and moira but on its own in higher ranks it can be incredibly strong

doom ult is nothing more than a get out of jail free card a few times a game. Also on the zen subject, I think the healing orb should do aoe healing and tune his damage back a bit to balance him out. I play a lot of zen and if they just made the healing orb do full healing on the main target and like 5hps radiating would be a great change. That way if you are healing the tanks, you are atleast doing a bit of aoe healing to the off tank and possibly the dps. It would cut down on the moving it from target to target constantly.

Respectfully gonna disagree on Visor's placement. I'd put it in situational, next to Cassidy. I see Visor as an alternative to Deadeye, not necessarily worse than it. The strength of Soldier comes from his consistency. Skill dependent matchups can be secured with it, and it has similar functions to Deadeye in the sense that it helps with targets such as Lucio, Valk Mercy, Moira using coal, etc. Definitely not useless. It's only looked at unfavorably because it lacks the instant threat potential of current premier DPS options. It's a simple ultimate with tons of utility.

Deadeye is better since it one shots if locked on, and also breaks shields if enough people are behind them, of course terrain is the biggest thing against it but that also applies to visor, but visor struggles against shields a lot more

The thing is, when you shoot with Deadeye you have increased fire rate in relation to your regular pistol and obviously deal way more damage, plus it has flexibility as it can be used as an instant reload and whatnot, Visor is mostly useless at high ranks because the only thing it improves is your aim and that's already pretty much perfect on any Soldier player, plus its minor side effects are not useful enough

the biggest problem i have with visor is that it is situational or even somewhat impactful in my ranks (i'm bad) or the lower ranks in general (i'd say up to gold) because people will sometimes hit more shots and reload faster, but once you reach platinum or even diamond, players are already good enought to hit at least bodyshots consistently and headshots are also very good, so visor just is a faster reload at the cost of no headshots. and like you guys said, grandmasters just cry when they hit the visor button cause they do less damage.

Riptire isn't as strong in most games because of 5v5. It's still strong, but... Widow ult is wallhacks on an overpowered sniper with no real counter. You have to remember the character the ult is on as well.

Pulse Bomb is probably the most underrated ult in the game. Its hard to use, sure. But its more or less a guaranteed kill on the best 1v1 hero in the game. You stick someone, they die, and you get to move on and kill more people. Every usage of Pulse Bomb can end in a Tracer getting two kills, and you have it every other fight because of how fast it charges.

visor is underrated, its great with a nano or dmg boost also has no dmg drop off but against double shield its terrible unless you're flanking behind the shields. I think it should be in situational

@@BSKINGPRODIGY it doesn't hard counter mercy at all. a good mercy is never seen (exaggeration ofc but just making a point). If you're caught in visor, you were out of position or outplayed in skill. In an equal skill match up (not counting low elo since you never count that), as a mercy player you should never be caught in visor and die unless they're boosted -- you should always have the situational awareness and access to cover before regular visor can kill you. The reason why visor is crap is because higher tier players can more consistently get headshots and they don't need the assist to aim with visor.

I have 62% average accuracy w/ soldier as well.. Also no matter how good your aim is you still don’t get the range buff that new visor gives you compared to reg dmg drop off

My interpretation is echo doesn't necessarily secure the ult though. Even though it's faster ult charge, you still have to actually get there first before you die. You can copy the wrong person with someone jumping in front of the target you wanted/misclicking, and the impactfulness of the ult depends on how good one of the enemies are against their own team. You don't have the surprise factor of say an EMP that comes from nowhere or a flank ult. You have to use your ult correctly, announce to the world while you're doing it and get the ult up while the enemy team is (should be) now focusing you down. it's still insanely powerful but that's just my take on why I can see it being ranked as under game-changing

Winston ult atleast gives you extra sustain to dive further, bassicly healing you and then some, plus letting you escape easily. It’s not great but it lets you extend more.. and bastion ult is OK in my opinion. You can one shot squishes, and at the very least they will fear you and hide which is good. It makes him more dynamic. I’m not at high rank though so idk

The problem with Bastion's ult is that you essentially already destroy squishies in "one shot" when in turret form at higher ranks because the aim is almost perfect and it's hitscan, the upside of ult is that you gain extra mobility while retaining oneshot potential, essentialy you combine Recon and Turret forms, with downside of having a strictly worse offensive weapon, it also gets much less value by any form of damage boost and since Bastion is basically only playable in dedicated comps that rely on him standing completely still anyways there's no point in using it ever
