I've heard he can't kidnap you when your cyberbond is active. Though I've also heard that a spiderman can't knock you into the air while it's active and that was wrong, soooo. But either way, Wolverine is actually hard countered by you. If he wants to avoid dying instantly to your nest and mines, he has to use an ability to avoid/survive them. If he uses his damage reduction? He dies fast. He uses his feral leap? He's stuck fighting you in your best position. Only using vicious rampage has a chance to work, but that moves you in a straight line making your movement predictable. Even if they don't directly target Wolverine after the dash, he still has to survive long enough to try and pull her out of the nest.

What I love about Thor that I never saw anyone else doing it, is that you can throw the hammer mid a close quarters fight, so you throw it at someone, get back the thorforce and perfectly in 3 hits you can throw it again. @@synsol1008 nah you say that but Mantis had the highest winrate last season and she really didn't get got. Plus they said they're focusing on buffs rather than nerfs. Magik might have a higher winrate, but she has a low pickrate meaning she is difficult to learn but rewarding, and really good magik players will win more. She isn't dominating, and they even buffed her when she had average 54% winrate. She's a melee hero with 250 hp, LESS than Luna and every other melee hero, she isn't getting a nerf hammer

As someone who's been playing a ton of Mr fantastic and finally found a good Playstyle he's an absolute juggernaut if played right You bodyguard and shield your team more and play real slow but use the reach you got to pressure till you go big then try to get picks rinse and repeat and you go crazy

I think the main thing holding Rocket back is the prevalence of immortality ults that all directly counter his own ult. Especially when playing 2 supports, having 1 immortality ult against 2 just kneecaps your team’s ability to consistently win team fights or even force a stalemate where no one on either team can die. I always feel like I have to wait for their ults to finish before I can pop mine, and by that point there often isn’t enough of my team left alive for it to be worth it. I honestly wish there were less immortality ults in general, as they just fill the same purpose with slight variations. They’re not all made equal for sure, but I would have way more fun playing support if it didn’t feel absolutely necessary to have one.

The beacon especially is completely at odds with itself with the whole armor pack mechanic, and his ult is just the damage half of Luna’s ult with no healing associated with it. They’re both a 40% damage boost. It’s literally half of an ult. It needs something more, something to make it worth using in situations where you aren’t already in control of the fight. Like, I don’t know… armor for the team? Actual, substantial armor for the team???? Please???????

The damage boost on his ult alone isn't enough to meaningfully outplay alot of other Strategist ults. @@bobbyweenus The reason I want it to be armor and not healing is that he’s the only one in the game that can provide non-decaying bonus health, yet it’s the most worthless part of his kit. If he just gave a single huge armor boost when he put it down, It would give short term sustain that could also help teammates tank heavy hits that might have oneshot them even at max health. Or you could overcharge everyone’s health at the start of a fight. This would set it apart it from other support ults and give it unique strengths for both offense and defense.

Mr. Fantastic is a misclassified low hp Vanguard. In trying to understand why he's a duelist, I've reached a point where I can defend the claim: "Mr. Fantastic without team up is more durable than Groot without the season bonus." The only problem is that Vanguards is from the same principle of why Black Panther is a Duelist, and no one is used to being a Tank+Bruiser just because of the abilities and not because of the double HP he has dps. Edit: Mr. Fantastic is only "Vanguard character" that has relativly low hp => Wovlerine doesn't work too good against him => Mr. Fantastic is anti-tank-buster tank.

Yeah I also feel like his support of strategists is heavily underrated, since you can peel and destroy flank duelists with support back up, while being able to shield them aswell. Combined with the constant passive proc, you get a character that does so much utility. I just think triple support comp makes him really poor overall. Since he does have relatively (at least compared to other duelists) low damage, one of the worst ults in the game, and he can only really tank like the conventional vanguards with passive up (granted combined with the reflect you can cycle for a good bit).

i actually think he is in the same role as Brig in OW, he doesn't have the boop but he can hit divers more easily and can shield the support being dived, in his transformed mode he can play more like a tank and zone off/pressure the enemy supports. His ult is definitely weak and should have like ramping damage after each bounce for better kill, or simply make it more a tank ult by giving himself more sustain. If anything Mr. Fantastic suffers from being put in the wrong category as he is literally anything but a duelist.

A nice thing about Rocket's kit most people don't often use, that I capitalize on a lot is, most people just use him up front to heal, the range on his heal orbs, the bouncing around corners, his BRB revives, the jump packs your team can use, and even the fact that he can wall crawl is just so often forgotten. I always make sure my BRB is up in spawn on attack to give my normally less mobile allies the boost jump and our squishier characters a little armor boost. When in combat I find an elevated spot, out of immediate LoS from the enemy team, put my BRB just off the point and launch heals from a distance. I see too many Rocket players hugging their team. You have consistent healing from most any range, use it. If you stand back from the people you are healing, you are less likely to be targeted during the fight.

You’ve convinced me to play Cap on tank and so far, I’ve carried my Bronze teams. Thanks for sharing your success with Cap, he really shuts down Moonknight, Punisher, Hawkeye, etc. Truly slept on and great when your team isn’t coordinated. Which is often, in Bronze… EDIT: I watched the previous video Flats made where he climbed with Cap to GM, if anyone is confused about the speed of me testing out Cap. If you’re stuck in Bronze with random teammates Cap is a solid choice. Just abuse the enemy backline, harass the supports. You’re basically a distraction and usually you can bait out their ults, giving the rest of your team freedom to…well, as they say, go ham.

Not surprising. Psylocke’s ult is less impactful the more number of people are in it, C&D ult only does 30dps, and Storm’s ult isn’t burst-y, so most defensive ults already shut it down.

As a vanguard main here is what I have learned today : I should really try to learn cap or at least if I have a cap on my team play thor to enable them I should abuse diving the backline with venom if I have a spider man in my team and the opponents comp allows it I should keep on learning thor and play to be more of a general annoyance Magneto and strange are characters that I must learn more about Groot should not place walls to block LOS most of the time but instead to attack / heal him I should make peni work no matter the cost to prove you wrong on your tierlist (nah just kidding i get that she is a noob stomper) but i do think it is a tank that has a great potential at stopping dive as long as you have a bit of communication with your team. I think that your fist traps should be placed in spots that your healers can easily reach in order to help them survive a dive. I will admit though that healers can definitely have a hard time playing around said traps especially against characters like spidey of black panther

I love peni, especially in lower ranks (waiting on getting a full group before climbing). I've only done like 10 competitive matches, and every time I've played peni I slaughter. Being able to hide her mines and make them immune to damage by webbing them catches them off guard every time lol.

Your comment kinda proves that he is in fact slept on. And in regards to win rates, they can be very misleading. Hawkeye has the 3rd lowest winrate in the game (only Jeff and Black Widow are worse), but does that mean Hawkeye is F tier? Absolutely not.

As a Rocket main myself I can answer you why we only have like 2 deaths.. We scurry up the walls and gtfo out of there. Always be near a wall, never out in the open where you have no escape. if the tanks go down and 1 dps goes.. we bail and fire a few healings back at the survivors if any and keep going.

If a Peni is "just standing there and getting shot in the head", that's a bad Peni. A good Peni will use all of her tools to harass and rattle either frontline squishies or flankers and then use her mobility to escape once things start going south. I think your putting IF next to her is fitting, but I think they should honestly both be B for that tbh because they'll both surprise you if someone knows what they're doing.

@@Mr_Tensaiexactly, the idea that “without her nest she’s nothing” is actually super beneficial to Peni players because 1) you can set up mines at any position where someone would be able to destroy your nest and get free kills (or put them right by the nest if their a dive character) and 2) without her nest, her indestructible webs do basically the same thing while hiding any mines you place so any diver just insta dies. Her ability to hold points on domination is INSANE when you know who to look out for and where to put the mines. Her potential is easily far greater than Cap imo

Fun combo you can do is Peni + Winter soldier. If the WS hooks an enemy tank into a few mines their health bar actually gets deleted, especially if the Peni can web them right after to keep them from escaping.

Yeah Penny is super slept on. Most people don't know that her web can eat most ults in the game since it has a health hitbox. Throw it at an iron man ult and save your team on a 3 second cooldown.

I think a major thing about rocket is that his utility requires other people to have knowledge about it. His ult can allow his teammates to outdamage Luna ult, but when people see Luna ult they don’t shoot her with rocket ult because they assume that she won’t die to it

Flats! If you see this, consider Peni playing differently. I think Peni is surprisingly good at off angles and flanks. I did it once and it worked really well, then I saw the top 500 person doing it and realized what I did for lols was actually viable. I've had so many games where ive forced teams to use ults just to force me out the angle, then not have it for the fight. Games where even though on paper (scoreboard) i wasnt doing that much, i was still canceling flanks, forcing retreats, harassing the backline, distracting their team, and in best case scenarios forcing multiple people to dive me just to get me out. And you cant ignore me because of the stuns, and mines. I think Peni is fairly map dependant yes, but as a DPS main holding down off angles with that much HP, self healing, entry denial with the mines, and the short CD Stun is crazy. On certain maps only a few characters can even force me out, I become a threat youd need multiple people to counter the off angle for.

She can be played on attack but not as the main tank, I like to sneak to the flank or rear position where I can make a hidey-hole(prefer a spot with a health pack so they can't get it) for myself that also lets me shoot at the enemy flank or backline, forcing then to split their attention between me and the rest of my team. Peni is deceptively mobile once you get the hang of her wall running and web "swing" and learn what kind of stuff you can get away with.

The duality of man. Peni: There's always some one tricks in the top 500 that'll make a character work in any situation, that's not you. She's not strong. Iron Fist, Jeff: There's one tricks that make them work in the top 500 so I think he's slept on. One thing you didn't mention with Cloak and Dagger is with the triple healer comp she's just defacto the best choice as third healer due to the extreme value it represents with her light wall amplifying healing. Not to mention being able to use the other support ultis for countering pushes/ultis lets her just use her low cooldown ulti whenever it's up. It's the same with Jeff's bubbles but the bubbles kind of work against themselves in that area since they're big healing on their own.

Yeah, it's funny how he suggests that they'll don't seem to have much else, and I think a lot of that is that people healbot on dagger way too much. Cloak is insane. The stealth of played around but your team can shut down ults, on a much much lower cooldown than Luna. If your decent he's also great at anti-dive. E is 55 damage and a 20% vuln, making the auto locking LMB 90/s. Killing 250 HP heroes in ~2s unassisted, which they'll be blinded for. He also makes no footsteps, making flanking plays actually kinda cracked

I main Peni, my biggest gripe with her right now is that her ult can often be super difficult to get value from. She can't climb, has no cc counter, can get body blocked super easy, and then, once it ends, you can't even immediately go back to using your standard kit; you have to wait for the animation to finish which just makes you a sitting duck.

Low but consistent healing through the entire fight that you can count on to never ever die because their mobility is just too cracked. I did that once with a Groot, sitting on his shoulder, and it works okay like that. But wouldn't want higher damage because with his mobility he never dies, and wouldn't want him to take duels easily like a Kiriko.

I can bounce my healing shot of walls, allowing me to heal from a very long distance. I don’t have to be in the middle of the action to heal my team. 7:10 something to note about the Ironwood wall (and I tested this myself): the conditions for activation are that groot is within 20m of the wall, and groot is within 20m of an ally that is damaging an enemy. So it doesn't matter at all how far away that ally is from the wall, and it especially doesn't matter how far away the enemy being damaged is. All you have to do as groot is be within 20m of both and you're constantly gaining overhealth.

I'll admit I haven't reached a high rank yet, but in multiple matches, I've contested a payload for almost a full minute on Rocket just by crawling around it like a damn cockroach and healing myself cause our tanks were too scared to contest. It's an absurd strategy, but it has worked multiple times There is also a weird tech with his dash where if he's running on a wall and then dashes, he blitzes away in half a second. Really good if you need to launch into the air or something

They didn't know. Cloaks ult heals the same amount. The issue is it stacks on itself. Anything more than 2 stacked trails is the same. Immortal or killed by specific ults.

Seeing Penny on C is wild, when she has a net that can shut down many ults on a 3s cool down. Her mines also can be stacked indefinitely and she can extend her spider bot range by adding more webs and her ult.

Currently trying to go scarlet only. Shes actually very underrated. Her damage is so constant that shes great at pushing the other team. People usually just use her for flank but being close to the team is much better. She basically counters almost all flankers because you dont really need to aim so spiderman's etc will die pretty quickly. If you play her close to healers you can basically protect them from all threats. Her stun bubble is huge as you can stun other tanks up to 3 times allowing easy kills for your team or stunning a flanker to save someone else. If you get good on your right clicks you can also shred as it has zero fall off!, does like 80 damage so its a great finisher or to melt tanks In combination with left click. Her ult is the hardest only do it with combination of other ults and/or do it behind walls to surprise enemies as you reveal yourself at the end. Its INSANE with a storm or movement buff! Also its good when you need to make distance as people will have to focus you if they want to survive or get on point, meaning more time for the cart to push or a point to be captured.

Respectfully have to disagree. I used to struggle against Wanda when I first played the game. Then, I realized that I basically outdamage her no matter which character I play. Since then, I've almost never died to a scarlet witch. Even as spiderman, you're just too quick and hit too hard. They need to buff her intangible mode and her ult needs a massive buff.

The real reason these high ranked players want to make alt accounts is so they can destroy lesser experience players. There’s a reason you’re ranked higher, because you have no reason to be there anymore.

Flats didn’t explain why Mr. Fantastic was so low, so I’ll try my best to why I think he’s there. He was made to be a hybrid between tank and duelist but as a result, he doesn’t excel in what either were made to do. He can’t headshot and has low rate of fire so he’s not a great duelist. And he still has low hp 90% of the time so he’s not a great tank. It’s a little like the jack of all trades, master of none situation. But it doesn’t matter, he’s still really fun, and that’s all you need.

He should be played like a bruiser who bodyguard your team instead of either a traditional tank or dps. Focus solely on being at the front to soak up damage or trying to attack all the time to get as much damage as possible are just not the way. When played right, he’s tougher than a tank and can dish out a lot of pressure when contesting for a point.

Play Mr. Fantastic as a tag team partner. He’s great at soaking damage, he can pull enemies away from each other and isolate them, he gives shields to his teammates and if the healer is good, he won’t die. I literally got jumped by 4 of the enemy team but my healer, combined with using Mr. Fantastic’s kit properly, kept me alive long enough to kill the entire team that was jumping me.

@@MaidenlessScrub Sure, but if youre looking for a bruiser then Thor fills that role far better. Venom is a dive bruiser and again is better. Reed is very good in 1v1's but you seldomly are in position to do those. He has no mobility, his reach is limited, his reflect might as well be a Namor bubble as it blocks damage but you dont do damage, his ult is weak and can be shut down with good aim. He's obviously playable, but in the higher ranks he's clearly worse than other options.

I'm honestly really surprised at how Strong Storm is now considering on paper it looks like she was buffed only very little. Like 10 more damage on her main attack and it's a bit faster, that *shouldn't* have that much of an impact as it does.

As a storm player, I can tell you the threat isn't just her primary getting that 10. If an enemy dives your team, you press E and they get hit with lightning, plus your buffed primary and right click and you delete most squishies in less than a second now. She could melt last season too, she just needed her team to look at the diver too. Now she can just...do it.

@@stormagedden785 nah its very hindersome, lots of times you need to get away or you lose the long reach when trying to kill that one hp enemy. when in big mode most of the time you have to play corners and hit people or else youll die. thats why there should be a timer and an option whether to go big or not.

Yeah, not fully controlling when you transform means it will often kill your flow/momentum. As of now, IMO he's pretty much just a worse and less versatile tank with a really shitty ult.

Mister fantastic might be D tier but he certainly been one of the most fun characters for me. Being a tank main having a dps option that feels so familiar as a bruiser is really cool. I just bully their backline, and use the reflect to disengage for heals while waiting for cooldowns, and then jump right back in.

For me she's amazing for dealing with annoying high agility heroes. I've always wondering why people don't play her more to deal with divers. And then this video kinda made me realize that it actually does take skill to play the Witch. You need to be highly knowledgably about all the DPS to know to disrupt them. Purposely getting webbed then shifting through spiderman's uppercut killing off all his damage output, dodging BP's spear or round house kick in hopes of wasting his dash, baiting wolverines dive only to shift through it, landing at least two right clicks back to back on psylocke or starlord forcing them to run away and chase after a health pack etc etc. When played right she is the absolutely most annoying thing to deal with when diving because she dramatically cuts down on the amount of time you can actually hang out in the backline.

She's underestimated because her main weapon is weak. But requiring no aim and being constant and hitscan makes it great for finishing off kills. If you can get in and around the thick of battle, you can quickly make the difference in any 1v1 or 2v2 going on. Shame about the Ult though. So hard to stay alive and get multiple kills from it.

Mr Fantastic is insanely slept on. His ult is weak, sure but that character has so much stalling potential, he literally just never dies. In a coordinated environment (which ranked isn’t to be fair) I can see him being insanely obnoxious.

He is. I went 39-2 with him the other day and one of those deaths was me being stupid and not waiting for my healer to come back to the objective. He literally doesn’t die if played properly and is such a nuisance he’ll distract the enemy team enough for yours to take point or take a few of them out.

So wrong about Penny every time, She counters so much and shuts down on so many maps and people, She is at least A. Her WInRate is good even in top ranks and low ranks. She isn't the best solo tank but better than thor venom Cap. Every clip of you and Jay going against Penny you guys complain and get rolled. She has a bad ult is all. She plays like a Roadhog where you just eat damge and get picks while holding chokes and points better than all other tanks. You never play her so don't know her well enough.
