As an aspiring venture main I actually didn't drill dash underground except to rush outta spawn faster cuz I thought the damage on it was negligible, but this is helping me get the more utility aspect of it, nice

it does what like 20 dmg? which is negligible by itself, BUT, it also applies the dps passive to a, possibly, wide group of enemies since it's hitbox is massive, and it has a substantial boop which can disorient people.

But it applies the passive and it boops + it's just free value to use burrow to drill immediately because you can get the drill back by the end of burrow and it pressures the enemy team to not ignore you while allowing your team to push it when you're charging. I’ve been playing with venture and honestly I spent most my time underground, drill dashing and popping up to rinse and repeat. You can disrupt the enemy team so well with drill dash underground

I play a lot of Lucio and a major problem with this Venture is that he shoot where the enemy is at, not where the enemy will be. There is a delay to gunshots with projectiles and you need to start aiming in front of the moving enemy to hit more shots, ALSO your projectiles are REALLY big in this game, make as big of a crosshair that you can get away from that always hits enemies within it from close-mid and aim in the direction they are going and you will improve your accuracy by a lot. Most projectiles go pretty straight but with a delay, just aim where you want the shot to be, not where the enemy is currently at because the enemy will move and you will miss your shot. Go in to the practice range and play around with your crosshair to find one that makes it mega easy to hit projectiles, I have a crosshair that will hit the enemy at the edges of my crosshair and it makes it easier to understand where the enemy hitbox is at because the enemy hitbox is WAY LARGER than what you see on your screen, projectiles are like cannon balls, even Mercys little pew pew cannon. You do not need to be a deadeye laserbeam player in OW2 at lower ranks, you just need to aim close to what you want to hit to hit and it will be ok. Even hitscan heros got massive cannonball projectiles, you just need to aim close to the enemy to hit them.

The overwhelming majority of supposed guides are basically trash and put out by players somewhere between Masters and Gold, especially for any new or recently changed hero or meta. Actual high level players compare playing adventure to playing half health ball or old doomfist for a reason. You either position evasively in the first place and just shoot things and take zero damage back or you use buttons to hard commit for a kill so you don't need to run away.

I honestly didn’t have much, if any trouble learning venture. Their play-style clicked for me in my first couple matches and now I main them on DPS. I think it’s because I used to main DPS Doom back in OW1, and cause venture is basically DPS Doom 2.0 everything about how they play just makes sense to me, I even picked up on most of the tech flats is talking about on my own.

When your game sense and mechanics are so silver that the perma jumping is not even a mentionable offense. Spend literally half an hour in VAXTA and rebind jump to a different key and you'll climb to gold EASY. This applies to everyone though, not just this venture.

Saw something similar yesterday. I was in a match where I queued into a 3 stack. The spread was Silver thru Plat. One of the 3 stack had their acct open so i could see they regularly rank in high plat low diamond. The other two had locked accts. Within 2 minutes it was obvious that the 2 locked acct was way out of their skill rank. My cosupport couldn't stay alive long enough to help any of the team. I told them that they may want to play quick play or stop grouping with someone so high in comp. I wasn't rude about it but they got really upset. But by the end of the match I had only died 3 times and they had all died around 12 times. They were obviously not ready to even play against Plat players.

The way he went straight to the report when he read that, I feel you bro. I've had to review all the new rules myself. Real question tho, is using the work " kill", say I'm talking to my team and I say "hey, kill that mercy please" etc. But "kill" is still censored like "**** or ****ing" my question is does it depend on the context ? Because the game itself refers to wiping a team as a "team kill" so I'm a little concerned my basic communications can be still considered a bankable offense, if used out of context. I switch words like hell for heck or shit for crap. I've been doing my best but I grew up back in 360 game chat days, I guess I'm just used to cussing. I really didn't relize how bad overwatch is with banning for communication for a while. Lucky I haven't gotten banned yet, but obviously I'm not trying to be either.

Man this had me playing more comp tonight and let me tell you. Let. Me. Tell. You. I am not exactly great, or even good. But I'm really not sure how decent I can be when I'm watching shots phase through enemies. When my Invuln abilities are active on my screen, but the kill came of the person who killed me saw nothing of it. This game is sometimes so hard to play and it feels like the server-client connections are about 40% of what's keeping me from enjoying this game and trying to improve further. The other 60% is god aweful see-saw balancing (about 5%) and 55% players who I think really should not be allowed anywhere outside of the training room.

I just played a game where both my supports were too focused on dpsing and I was behind a corner letting auto heal do it's thing for half the game. My Moira actually switched to Mercy and shot nonstop without healing at all and the other support left the game near the end I wish they would use ai in their rank system and put these people in their own games

I only play qp rn, but was genuinely shocked when I had duo teens on support in one game straight up say "we aren't healing you guys, so play hog or soldier" They had upwards of 9k dmg but we lost to hell because the damage was just feeding. I avoided, but like, the fact that you can have players like that and the only way to work around is to add them to the avoid list is a nightmare

If the silver guy is reading the comments: Just running around in burrow from a mile away, the enemy team will always see you coming. This can be good to put some focus off your teammates, but if you do it all the time, you get quite predictable. So flank once in a while, instead of going straight towards them. OW is a first person shooter, nobody can see what is lying underneath their feet. If you flank once in a while, burrow+ dash + pop out, hit a shot, dont even need to use the drill that just reset, if you want an escape option. But you should be able to get more kills. Also the melee is pretty good, use it up close. Secondly i see you are following/focussing the tank to much, go for squishies. Read the game better, an example: if you see Ana throw her bionade, she is vulnerable. This is the moment you can go in, Ana is easy without it, and on silver trust me, they wont hit their sleeping darts on you if you are suddenly very close in the air, if you do it right, she wont have time to react. Ana will probably be their main healer. Getting rid of the strongest healer of their team, is almost always a team wipe for them. When popping out of burrow, try to land on a high ground spot. Most enemies wont get up their easily and you will be harder to hit, have more cover, and can hit easier from above. You will have a bit more time to get your cooldowns back, and you keep enemy focus divided between you and your tank. Plus you still have drill dash to get away.
