Looks at the support stats on the other team, that is what a non cosmetic support looks like. Highest elims in game. 0 deaths. More damage than both of the "protagonist support duo" combined, and they are keeping up in heals. Any support can go moira and play like a bitch afk heal botting the tank from a safe position you have 0 chance to die at, doesn't mean you are playing well or doing your job just because you kept up in heals when all that is just inflated from heal botting the tank. Also theyre literally playing moira 50% of those heals are on herself anyway. So they have no damage, die more, no elims, supports literally afk in base, and they are barely even healing more. The supports got gapped even harder than the dps, they trying to act like the enemy dps carried but who has the highest elim in game? THE ENEMY SUPPORT. If you're going to be completely outclassed cosmetic healbot support the LEAST you can do is actually outheal them and not just by 5%, if you're doing half the damage as their support and providing literally 0 kill pressure, you need to actually have a high healing number. 900 damage healbot moira = textbook cosmetic support

⁠@@ironman1458Holy copium, the reason the other supports have zero death is because the DPS (the role that exists to punish the mistakes of the enemy support / DPS) kept dying. If the Soldier 76 did not die off spawn every fight and could actually be around to punish the enemy support / DPS, they would not have zero deaths. The enemy supports have more damage because they do not need to worry about having to heal their team so much because the enemy DPS keep dying. Which reduces the pressure on the supports to heal allowing them to slot in damage between their healing. Think laterally before you come in here dropping silver takes on how the game plays.

I'm a DPS main and I firmly believe we should ONLY be getting tank and support heroes until the roles are relatively even. I don't see how DPS players should feel entitled to anything more if they care about the health/balance of the game. If you're honestly begging for more DPS characters that tells me you care more about having new toys to play with (cuz you're easily bored by the millions you currently have ig) and less about the competitive experience.

Yesterday I had a venture blame me, the genji, with more damage, kills, and 6 deaths compared to their 12 deaths, that we lost because "genji was being useless and not flanking". Completely ignored our 12 death tank who had no concept of LoS or the fact our supports had half the healing of the enemy and our Ana with 12 deaths was getting outhealed by Zen Naw bro it was all my fault, I'm supposed to flank while our tank is dead into their whole team. What they mean by "cosmetic support" is they are doing nothing compared to the supps on the other team who are doing more damage, dying less, healing the same, actually killing things. Who has most elim in game? Enemy support. Who has least deaths in game? Enemy support. Both that support duo damage combined is less than one of the enemy support. And they still convinced themselves they did well. Support players are so delusional

That was MY Rein air-shatter tech video that someone stole and reuploaded to TikTok. The reuploader cut out a lot of important context and caveats, but the gist is the tech allows you to have your cake and eat it too by gaining the movement of the jump shatter AND the speed of a grounded shatter. It's been a thing since OW1, but faded into obscurity since there are few remaining Reins who are skilled enough to pull it off consistently, and failing it has big consequences. I can answer questions from anyone wanting to try it!

Once had a game where I was playing support, I was playing moira and half way through the game I have 12 kills, 5k dmg and 5k healing (more dmg than the guy who complains and about 1k less healing than the highest in the game) had a dps start complaining because “you aren’t healing enough” at the end of the game I had 22 kills, 8k dmg, and 12k healing, highest heal stat in the game and bro started yapping about how “just because you kill doesn’t mean you are getting value, you need to heal” the real problem was my friend who had 7k healing but that’s my bro so he chill. Also I was playing moira which genuinely most of the kills a moira gets is because they threw an orb into the enemy team and getting 5 because it did 20 damage to everyone.

For the Emongg clip, I'm pretty sure it's just the overlapping Mauga ults that causes the crash. The ult itself has documented glitches involving respawn locations, so multiple overlapping, especially two on the same team thanks to the Echo, is causing the game to freak out and crash.

@@ironman1458 good point. I would advise people to reset after youre supports die. That said, this wasn't that scenario. While we don't know what lead to the supports dying, we do know that the rest of the team had no idea their supports were dead, and expected to be healed through whatever was happening. When they found out the supports were dead, they failed to point out any feeding that may have happened. We may never know without the replay. That doesn't really absolve these people of being dunning/kruger players, it just means the whole team may be making grave mistakes; which is the most likely case. More mistakes increases your chances of loses, leading to lower sr and mmr. To end of this long winded response, I suggest just reseting and planning your next fight when your supports die early, it leads to more wins.

I had a game recently where I was just getting cooked as DPS, though it was mostly getting near insta killed by enemy echo and widow with mercy DB. Echo especially putting out insane damage. Though I had double the deaths of all my teammates, mostly because I got caught lacking by widow, which that wasn’t my supports fault, it was mine, but we also didn’t have a mercy, and a lot of the times in lower ranked games, not having a mercy on both teams means it’s like playing 5v6 which is very infuriating

They don't have to fix the over abundance of DPS chars by only releasing new tanks and supports. They can also convert some existing DPS chars to other roles. Sym should be reworked to be support again. Mei should be a tank. Echo should finally become the support she was originally supposed to be. Sombra could be redeemed by being changed to support. Etc.

Perhaps, but the dps should also know your main healers died, play off health packs and play safely instead of going in for kills, Ashe should've backed out instantly the second Genji Doom died together, regardless if Moira Lucio was still alive.
