This bread is really good. I added cinnamon and honey to my hot water. It’s delicious. You must grind the flaxseed really well.

Hi, after so many other attempts on making flaxseed bread. Your receipe is the only one that made the best tasting bread. The texture was very good also. I added 3 tablespoons of honey to the warm water, just to make it a bit sweet. Thank you 😊

Hello, thanks for sharing. You need to put the loaf in à hotter oven in order to make it rise 😉. I would suggest 220°celsius

Second try at it and ground the flax finer which helped it to actually look the same as yours. However i would suggest a bit of flavoring to be put in as a bit of flavor other than flax is helpful.

It tastes a bit of flax seeds and has a nutty background taste. I usually toast it and spread peanut butter on top or some vegan cheese and cherry tomato with vinegar glaze. It is very versatile and almost carb free!

Hi, couple questions? You said 220 degrees but i see you are in UK? you really did 220 celsius? Can you please provide unit of measure there? Also, i want to try the lower temp but for a longer time like you suggest, but i can't afford to mess up a bunch of batches. Can you please make a cooking temp + number of minutes recommendation for the lower temp, higher time? And sorry, actually one more quick question: 2.5C of flaxseed... Is that 2.5C AFTER ground? Or pour out 2.5C whole seeds, then grind, then whatever that comes to you just put in? Bc i swear in the video: i see you measure about 2 cups ground into ur bowl only. Thank you! It looks so good & i can't wait!!! Yummy! 😋🤤😊

Hi, it's 2.5 cups of grounded flwseeds. And regarding the lower temperature I haven't tried yet. It depends on your oven. But lower temperature will probably not give you the crunchy crust on top.

Though healthy & looks great, the issue with flaxseed bread is that it doesn't taste great, mouthfeel not pleasant, looks cooked & crispy on the outside but retains an unpleasant 'wetness' on the inside, even when fully baked & cooled down.
@heartilyvegan Жыл бұрын
That's true, for this reason a strongly suggest to add spices to make the flavour more pleasant for the people who can't bear the taste of the omega 3
@kd9601 Жыл бұрын
@@heartilyvegan ...but it ain't about "the taste of omega 3". I've been whole-plant-based for about 20 years (well before plant-based became a hype on social media). Flaxseeds happen to be my chosen main source of plant-based omega-3, since 20 years... As well as the whole & milled seeds, which I very regularly use for baking (in combination with other wholesome gluten-free ingredients), I also regularly consume cold-pressed omega-3 flaxseed oil too. So, it ain't about the omega-3 taste at all. It's simply that flaxseed on it's own ain't as great for baking bread (*on it's own*), as it's hyped up to be. It retains an unpleasant, slightly 'slimy wetness' inside the loaf-style bread even when it is fully baked & crispy externally...no attempts at adding spices/flavors can solve that issue, if flaxseeds used (*on it's own*) for baking loaf-syle 🍞 bread.

@@kd9601I’ve been on the same train and opinion for a long time but I have tried one recipe I added lots of seeds and nuts and trust me it added that crunch and took the wetness away, I find that you have to really play around with different recipes to get it right but I agree I don’t like the taste of the flaxseed alone too😅
