Still working on the diaries, they are in my research rotation. I don't want to include them in anything until all of my research is finished, as it's been a great experience being the "first" to read the entries and research or attempt to research each one. Perhaps the States are just backed up with packages, I can't imagine them doing any translations haha. Your previous packages always made it through fine, so no worries :0)

A bad day at the FM is better than a good day at the office, right? Not the this was so bad, really. I found lockets for my girls once that were silver-tone spheres. When the clasp was opened, a bunch of small round plates came out connected to each other accordion-style. The little plates looked like the ones on yours. Was that one spring-loaded at one time? Never seen one like it. Guessing you know the drawer is probably from a sewing machine cabinet. I love the sound those tags make when they clack together - maybe a wind chime or hang them so you can run your hand across them as you pass? Thanks for a look at the early 2023 FM. The locket must have been at one point, probably lost the springs over time. The tags are interesting because they are wooden. Not sure of their age, but thought they could be used in future projects and/or eventually sold in my etsy shop. It's a beautiful day here in NJ, temperature of 88 degrees! Rain comes in on Saturday, but looks like Sunday will spared any wet weather, so hopefully the flea market is packed!

Renee', you took me for a ride in the way-back machine when I saw that Wall Drug sign. Riding in the back of our car in one 1970something summer, pulling a very long camper, my early teen self was entertained for miles and miles and miles reading different iterations of that sign. I begged the folks to stop. The marketing team would be proud. Who wouldn't want to stop for Free Ice Water!!! It was a very cool place though, and I came back with at least one sign. Pretty sure I still have it.

that wooden roller with advertising was used years ago for when somebody bought like a heavy item of clothing. It was the handle for the bag. I remember going with my mother into Philly and getting those if we bought like a coat or something.

The Famous Wall Drug Store is one of America’s favorite roadside attractions and you might not have even known about this small town attraction. Wall Drug is a great place to stop and rest whether you are driving to or from Badlands National Park. And a Cup of coffee is 5cents. also famous for all the roads signs leading the way. On the way to Mt.Rushmore must stop tourist trap.

Take me along, take me along...I promise to be a polite boy! K-Tel...I remember these LPs advertised on late night TV. Pretty good quality. Bechtel...I was employed there 14 years, Limerick Power Plant...Generating Station...was one of the projects I worked on. I was with the SFPD...no, I did not arrest anyone...that stood for "San Francisco Power Division". Their main headquarters was here in San Francisco, when Downtown was a vibrant, active area, not the dead, boarded up store front scene of today. Bechtel moved its headquarters to Houston, Tx., I believe. If you plan to sell that buckle, I'd be interested in giving it a home in my collection!

@@PaperandMoose Hi, Renee, No...I did not work at Limerick, or any other power plant...although I love to go "behind the scenes" at one of these facilities! I worked as an engineering draftsman at Bechtel's main headquarters, here in San Francisco. Our department's task was to do blueprints, diagrams, flow charts and update stress reports dealing with the plant. Limerick was one of six plants (nuclear and coal-powered) we dealt with. We worked closely with the staff of design engineers. This was pre-computer time, when all graphics was done by hand and slide rule! I remember when atomic energy was looked upon as the savior of mankind! Low cost , even "free" energy was coming down the pike...HA,HA...LOL!! San Francisco still has its nice places: Golden Gate Park (which I live near); Fisherman's Warf; Pier 39; Pacific Heights; the Presidio and Sunset and Richmond Districts...the latter are a treasure trove of residential architecture, oh yes, many of the vintage Victorian Homes still dot the city. The Downtown and Mission street areas are in sad shape. The Tenderloin is in that sad part as well. I'm putting together some gifts for you, as well. Thank you again for your channel and hard work. Will be going to a sale this weekend...I see a frosch or two among the dishes and tchotchkes!

That record of yours is a collection of well-known mild weirdo/outsider music numbers, more like a best of Dr. Demento collection. Yes, I admit it, I'm a worshiper of bizarre and weird music. And so the other day you flipped through an LP collection of original records with that type of music without stopping at a single record? As Nervous Norvus would have said, confusion, confusion, I'm just a solid mess of confusions. But that's okay, I guess I have to tiptoe through the window and lower my body in the tubby again.
