Great video! I have an Agway system 2000 softener, which I purchased in 1995, and was researching to find the actual manufacturer of the powerhead. The softener is actually marketed by WaterGroup, out of Canada. After much research, and finally pulling up this video, this softener, has the Fleck 5600 footprint, all over it! Now, I will order a rebuild kit, to hopefully take care of my salt tank, slowly filling with water, after each regen. I figure, after 22 years, with no problems, the seals, and brine control valve, and associated O-rings, are probably tired out! Recently, I totally cleaned out the salt bridge, so I'll see how this goes.

Thank you for this video. My brine valve got a little crusty (very hard well water). I cleaned it up for now and got it operating like normal. I plan to replace it soon.

great video but I followed your instructions and they're in the process I flooded my basement there is two valves that I didn't didn't know I had to shut off bypass so water was spraying everywhere what a mess

The salinity of the service water is about 650. does that mean I need to do this repair? My softener is 4 years old...

I bought the rebuild kit put it back together now there is pressurized air in the system. I relieve it then it comes back. It’s like drawing air. So confused!

there might be a leak around a seal or a fitting, hopefully you found it

I replaced the valve and cleaned the injectors. However, the brine tank is still overfilling. It basically fills until the safety float engages. Anyone have any suggestions?
