Several years ago I bought parts on ebay from a place in Florida to rebuild mine. I did not know of the silicone lube for the seals and it was an absolute nightmare. Thanks for this video, I hope to get mine going again.

The small white "flow disperser" shown at 6:02 is part no. 13497 and is labeled "Disperser, Air" in the service manual. I pulled this out in order to remove a few specs of black rubber, but then it broke apart while I was cleaning it. This was an unexpected setback, and I now have to wait a week or so for a new one before the softener can be put back in service. Just a warning to other viewers - this part is very fragile!

I was good up to @ 7:30 that spacer tool. I believe I'm going to use my finger and maybe a flat screw driver. I should be good to go?

I'm not sure where to begin! The metan tank is leaking from the valve and top being pushed up by what looks like an iceberg of salt. There is no bridging of salt in the salt tank. The float is not moveable. The system worked fine until the local yokel did "maintenance" telling me the wrong Venturi assembly valves were on the Fleck system (it worked prior to his tampering). The float also was moveable prior to his "maintenance". Where should I begin to fix this - note - this guy workd for the only two well and water systems in our remote area.

Hello. Is the Stuffer Tool essential or can one install the seals without it?

my boyfriend is a water softening technician and said that you can replace the seals and gears for the piston without the stuffer tool.

If the softener is running 24/7 then you have a bad seal. To fix, replace seals and spacers. I have had this happen a half dozen times to customers softeners in the last year. Pentair needs better seals as this rarely ever happened up until the last year or two.
