I was a videographer for an interview with Stevie in Vegas, circa 2013. She was so down to earth and genuine, especially when she spoke to me and I was intimidated, which Stevie recognized immediately, and smiled warmly and set me right to ease. Pretty amazing experience.

Then I saw Stevie Nicks 24 K tour as well in Sunrise, she was beautiful and simply spectacular. I love them all, they are amazing songwriters, composers and musicians! I'm looking forward to Feb. 20, 2019, I'm going again to see Fleetwood Mac this time without Lindsay, I'm sure they'll be just as great as the first time! @Alan Norman, Damn right! Stevie Nicks, without question, made Fleetwood Mac so iconic. Her songs like Sara, Gypsy, Gold Dust Woman, Rhiannon, and Dreams (their ONLY number 1 hit) are among their best-loved songs and it was her ‘California Girl’ hotness, as well as the fact that she was an absolutely mesmerizing performer, twirling around on stage with her platform boots and black chiffon gypsy garb, that made FM one of the biggest bands in the world. While Lindsey is a musical genius and helped both Stevie AND Christine with their songs, they’ve toured without both Lindsey and Christine, for years at that, something they could NEVER do without Stevie. Also, people are always mentioning how Stevie joined the band only because of Lindsey but conveniently forget that Christine also joined the band only because she was married to John.

This interview reveals Mick Fleetwood to have been a thoughtful, soft spoken, well spoken young man...with a heart as big as his creative spirit...For too many years in his career he has almost been stereotyped as an almost mute drummer of visceral energy , perfect technique, and physical charm only-but this shows him to be articulate, inquisitive, well mannered (along with the soft spokeness, an almost quintessential English trait) and well ordered in his thinking and priorities.

Marcus Brennan while cheating is not at all good, divorce is not a sign of a bad or unstable person. People are completely different throughout their lives and will often need different people around them as they grow. Divorce is nothing to be ashamed of. Neither is drug addiction, actually. Lindsey did not 'make' Stevie. Stevie's mystic, songwriting and entrancing persona made that band. They wouldn't be anywhere without Stevie, including Lindsey. He needed her. Dreams after all is their only number one hit and Rhiannon is the song that made them famous in the first place. Both of which are Stevie's songs. Stevie's solo career was a huge success, Lindsey's was not. Bella Donna reached no. 1 on the billboards and the way the band treated her after that is heartbreaking. i also have no respect for Lindsey knowing he abused Stevie for 19 years of her life. The stories of all the things he has done to her... heartbreaking. I've met him as well. Arrogant man. very self centered.
@meganbotha4933
@meganbotha4933 2 жыл бұрын
@Thomas Winkelmair I dont think it's unfair at all to be completely honest with you. Lindsey may have brought Stevie with into the band but at the end of the day that wouldn't have mattered because without her they wouldn't be so famous. Also Lindsey didnt even want to join the band in the first place, it was Stevie who put her foot down and said "we are joiningthat band" so technically they wouldn't even be in the band without Stevie. I used to be obsessed with Fleetwood as a whole until I read what Lindsey put Stevie through and other woman as well and I could get into it if you want me to elaborate but for the most part it involves mental abuse and control over Stevie during their entire relationship and physical abuse which has been accounted for, as well as an awful reputation with the people he's worked with. I've read 7 biographies and researched absolutely everything about them which I why I became pretty much a Stevie Nicks fan as opposed to an all around Fleetwood Mac fan and there are many reasons as to why. But with what you said about the talent, I guess you're not wrong in the sense that it boils down to opinion. You see I'm a lyric analyst really when it comes to music. I love the poetry and the words of the song which is why I find Stevie to be more talented in that aspect compared to both Lindsey and Christine. Their songwriting is quite mediocre. Instrumentally they're more talented that Stevie. Stevie can play both piano and guitar but is not near the level of talent of the other two which is why she sticks to the singing only. Lindsey is more talented with the technical aspect of music. Lindsey's method of creating music was to create the melody first and add lyrics to the music he created. Stevies was to turn her poetry into songs which Is why I love her songs because they're a lot deeper and she brings that infamous Fleetwood Mac mysticm into the band. Christine was given the task of creating the radio friendly singles for Fleetwood Mac. Songs you catch onto quickly that can be repeated on the radio. I still sit and listen to the radio and hear Christine's songs almost every day. So there's a lot of talent in the band for different aspects, personally I think Mariah Carey has WAY better vocals than Stevie however I'm not really a fan of Mariahs music. I like Stevies music. Her vibe, her style, her songwriting and the careless almost free way of creating music. It's an art form really and I think it comes a lot more natural to Stevie. Like mentioned in one of the books I read Lindsey used to spend hours and hours in the studio working his ass off to come up with a single song, and Ken Caillet said they'd give Stevie one melody and she'll give you 30 songs. Their talent resides in different places and depending on what aspect of music you enjoy you'll enjoy different members. Like I for one absolutely hate Lindsey's songs on tusk, can't stand them, the same repetitive beat with awful and shallow lyrics. Don't find him a great lyricist at all. But you might see it differently, you might see it as a masterpiece. But whatever talent you are more attracted to it also doesn't mean that Stevie NEEDED Lindsey. Stevies first solo album reached number one, got platinum status, sold millions of copies in the first month and stayed on the charts for 3 years. And it was recorded live extremely quickly. Stevie stated it was very easy and fun to create. Lindsey spent hours grueling over his album. Lindsey's first solo album charted at number 32 and stayed there for 3 weeks, so she didn't need him at all or his "work" in the studio. Also idk if you've read Ken Caillets book on making rumours but Ken was the mastermind behind rumours, not Lindsey. Lindsey helped but Ken worked the most on all the songs including Dreams. Lindsey was the mastermind for Tusk and Tusk was a commercial flop and to me his songs are repetitive and shallow. As a matter of fact Stevie didn't want Lindsey touching her songs on tusk and especially Sara he couldn't touch. Sara was the only song that really did well on that album. Lindsey's work in the studio isn't that amazing to me. But like I said opinions are different but that doesn't make him not talented. They just have different talent.

'67? They've known each other 50 years! Poor Lindsey has to talk about her still to this day.

No, 67 is the year that Mick Fleetwood and John Mcvie first formed the band; go back and listen again to the interview. Lindsey Buckingham and his girlfriend Stevie Nicks did not come on until 1974-Christine Mcvie, who was married at the time to John Mcvie, had joined a little earlier. To reiterate, Nicks and Buckingham have only known the rest of the band since 1974 NOT 1967...

Did anyone else realize that Fleetwood Mac comes back with a hit album every ten years back in the 20th century Fleetwood Mac (1967) is where they started, Rumours (1977) was their best album of all time, Tango In The Night (1987) was the end of their first hiatus, and The Dance (1997) was the end of their second hiatus.

GlobalTubeTruth good point. I have no idea what I am talking about. I listen to stevie and get lost. She is the best female singer song writer of all times and so beautiful. I saw a video of her and at 68 she is still the total package. I think Lindseys balls must be angry. I have had a few hot girls and left them. Explaining that to my balls was not easy. they got very angry and no one likes life when they are not getting along with their balls. how did he continue to play and be the most under rated guitar player when his own balls hated him most of the time. I think it must have been the cocaine. I bet the cocaine in the 70s was different. yes blame it on the drugs. that always works.

GlobalTubeTruth I think I am just losing my mind. I blame on the medication. Seriously Stevie may be the most talented best looking female singer song writer in history. She certainly makes Lady Gaga and the like seem like a generation of freaks.
