Anyone seeing this band in 1975 must have been blown away by the live version of Rhiannon compared to the studio album one. This song is Stevie's "tour de force" and will never be bettered.

Adam Lister Though Lindsey was an asshole practically by everyone that knew him, and especially after their breakup, putting my personal feelings aside, he was an incredible guitarist!! His Rhiannon solos were always so powerful that it drove Stevie to a higher realm as well!!! Yes he’s awesome!!

He is underrated for his guitar skills, but overrated for his vocal skills. He is good as a backup singer and he and Stevie harmonize well. I just can't take his voice alone 😝 love Queen Stevie Nicks

JULIE SCHAEFER I have to agree. Especially as they got older. Lindsey ‘s voice is harsh and unpleasant by itself. Though it sounds good in backup or as an addition to Stevie’s in harmony. She is was and always will be the lead singer!

The rasp of her voice was so pure - of all things for a rasp to be. I saw them and her a few times but quite some time later in the eighties. They were great but it's kinda like she'd already spent this part of her voice. Here they were just so young and hungry.

Unlike their contemporaries the Eagles, Fleetwood Mac always rocked a lot harder live than they did on their recorded material. They are known as the ultimate 'easy listening band' but as this blistering performance of 'Rhiannon' showed, they could and did rock out live.

Never really got into them until my girlfriend took me to see Stevie Nicks. I was into a lot heavier stuff. And kind of like you said, it seemed like my "parents music" but She killed it and I started to check out FM live. Much different live than on plastic. I even named my daughter Rhiannon Lindsay. (Lindsay was my wifes idea and a coincidence) One of my favorite bands now and I heisted my parents FM vinyls...lol and will add LB is an insane guitarist and seems under appreciated/mentioned/etc....Big Love blows me away and a reminder why I chose to be a drummer instead and I need to add

Hey CooManTunes(nice name) I will do you one better: I have seen the Eagles live a few times, and I stand by what I said, the Eagles always sounded far more like their studio recordings than Fleetwood Mac did. That was/is by design, my friend; Don Henley said that is always what they strove to do. Wasn't really insulting the Eagles..who I love..just stating a fact. Have a good day Mr Tunes

I love the diversity of the three different vocalist personalities, and styles of music. Christine had more of this blues pop, love songs to her with a cool mature personality, while Stevie was this young, eccentric, folk rock type of music with lyrics about welsh myths and philosophy, and Lindsey was this tall, pop rock performer who could shred his big white Les Paul (guitar) with lyrics about his thoughts and opinions with a very serious yet easy going personality. One of the main reasons why Fleetwood Mac is my all time favorite band.

By the time I first heard this song (1975) I was already familiar with Rhiannon, having read Evangeline Walton's novels. Maybe I was a little shocked (and delighted) to find that someone else had read them as well. This is the earliest performance I have found yet on KZbin. At 66, I still need to hear it almost every day.

In spite of the obvious sound issues, FM's strong performance from every member comes through. Mick and his insane drumming, Christine's supporting keyboard, John's flawless bass, Lyndsey's raw, yet spectacular guitar, work to induce Stevie into channeling the goddess Rhiannon from her slumber. Stevie absolutely kills in this performance, and yet she was revealing the enchantress Rhiannon that would only unveil herself as a result of the state of mind that Stevie ascended to with the help of her band mates. As the Rhiannon revealed herself all who were in her presence were enchanted to a degree that was rarely beheld. Even today every time I see Stevie perform Rhiannon live on video, I am captivated by the Enchantress Stevie Nicks. I truly feel for today's youth, we were very fortunate to have been around when the giants of Rock were still producing classic music that is just as relevant today as it was when it was released.

Everyone is talkin about Stevie lookin so young (which she definitely does), but I'm amazed at how young Mick looks still, without the iconic beard he would soon have. A year later, he went from looking here like a healthy 20s dude in a tanktop, to somebody's uncle wearing Renaissance Fair clothes. Great music, regardless ... and it is nice to see so much skin from Stevie in her 20s, as well as the rare, form-fitting pants

She will go down in world history as one of the greatest performing artists of all time. her songwriting dollars rival the beatles, and performances rival the Stones. She was the fairy godmother to an entire generation.

Gotta luv it.....The young, high energy Fleetwood Mac. Rhiannon was just released 6 weeks before this show. The fast pace of the original version was amazing. Love the camera work that shows the dual jam off between Lindsay and Mick. Stevie's voice is strong. The Largo show was something special. Thanks Pretzel.Enjoy Mac fans!

Great performance. Stevie could sing back then, and still can now, but she has lost some of her range now. Back then she could make all your hairs stand up and just was a great singer. Love her to death. One of the best female rock singers ever.

This arena was one of the greatest arenas of all time for music, every bit as good as MSG. Capital Center was one special place and the number of live albums that came from that arena with all types of music was astonishing. This arena was the one arena the Grateful Dead, Zeppelin and a number of others loved to play. When this show happened there was a time in a few short months where 7 or eight great bands from Deep Purple, Grateful Dead, Zeppelin, Skynyrd before the plane crash, Fleetwood Mac, Pink Floyd and I believe the Stones and the Who played. I really miss this place and of course this is now Magic Johnsons store outlets with a Metro station right where center court used to be.

I remember Stevie saying her favorite singer was Janis Joplin and you can hear the influence when she starts going off at the end.

And people wonder why we love Stevie so much. She could belt out songs like this in her prime, and also write beautiful songs and was a great stage performer. She did it all and is still doing it. Great stuff. Lindsey isn't bad either. :)

OMG, that was awesome! I've never seen this one before! Thanks so much for posting it! I can't believe it's been on YT for almost 10 years and this is the first time I've run across it. What a shame the owner put some dumb text over top of the video, but, oh well, I'm still happy to be watching it. Just my opinion, but Ariana Grande's song "(You'll believe) God is a Woman" is about what happens when you watch Stevie perform Rhiannon in the 70's, lol. Sounds like a good theory, right? ;-)
