In this video she still has that innocents in her voice and look, a softer Stevie if you will. Just finding that strength and having that knowledge that has molded her into the woman we all love today . Timeless, ethereal ,strength, and beauty. Put into a tiny little box of dynamite. I swear i would buy an album of her simply vocalizing ...no words needed just that perfect raw emotion.

Well for us oldies that were there, yt is just amazing to have and watch our old bands. Some we saw and many we didn't. I come across bands / singers I had forgotten about but loved back in the day. All at our fingertips now. Us kids use to have to sit around a radio praying for the dj to play that song... When it finally came on, we all tried to write the lyrics as fast as we could. 😄😄 It usually took many listens to finally get all the lyrics.

yeah, hopefully we will come across the entire set. i notice that this was a show from the summer of 78. i wonder if they did Sisters of the Moon at this show. i have an early live version of sisters that they performed at the end of the Rumours tour. its cool to hear hgow the song changed form that incarnation, to the studio version and then to the live version on the tust tour and then on the mirage tour.

I love the way she ends the song (a sort of a chant for lack of another word)..it's a tad bit different from the 77 Japan version..not much but just a bit..I wish she'd sing it that way nowadays..
@lilflower258 жыл бұрын
I agree. I hate how she changes the words now. Really annoying. IMO. She should sing it how she wrote it.
@yvonnewilliams67488 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately I don't think we'll ever know unless we can get to ask her personally, but it could be that at the time she might have forgotten the words and made them up as she sang..I saw once where they have teleprompters with the words of the song the group was singing..maybe back then they didnt have that..I'll have to pay closer attention to the song now..lol..
@barrylough28637 жыл бұрын
I love it when she changes the words. She's changed Rhiannon lyrics many times over in places. I think it shows she's a true artist and her songs remain a living creation - not something frozen eternally in one version.
@yvonnewilliams67487 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, I still cant't hear the change of words..anywho, it's a great vid with or without the changing of words..as a matter of fact, that's with any song by any singer, I just cant seem to listen to the words that closely unless it's the reprise or just repeated so many times that I can't miss it..oh well..

First off, let it be known that I've always been a huge fan of Fleetwood Mac & Stevie Nicks. I'm a man, and I've performed several of their songs on stage countless times both playing guitar and singing........mainly as either a solo acoustic act or acoustic duo. Folks everywhere have sworn to me that I sound exactly like Stevie Nicks, and I was always blown away by that. But I've gotta say, this is already the 2nd LIVE performance of this song from the 70's where Stevie Nicks totally screws up the lyrics.......and she wrote the lyrics for this song. This was obviously due to all of the cocaine & alcohol they were abusing at the time. Of course countless other bands have fallen victim to drugs & alcohol as well. It's just sad, really.
