My favorite song from Fleetwood Mac of all the many I like, and the video is great! And well as a beginner Drummer obviously special admiration for Mr. Mick Fleetwood, and ofcourse the whole band it's one of my favorite rock bands since I was young! I'm 46 now and still love their music and all late 70s 80s music! Giant Mick playing drums among the buildings like king Kong was Great! Really Good Music that gets in our souls 👏👏👏👏

This and "Love is Dangerous" are the hidden gems on "Behind the Mask." Would this have been a better lead single? Not sure, but I can say with certainty that this bizarre video didn't do it any favors. Look up some of FM's live shows from the Behind the Mask tour where they opened with "In the Back of My Mind" and you'll see how good it works live.

Love FM in all of it's/their arrangements, personally a bit partial to Christine's voice, and always enjoy and am amazed with Lindsey's playing as I am with Peter Green's performances.... Mick and John (as this video may imply) are the stream engine and rails unstoppably driving the group forward. Lately I've been listening to this song, sometimes over and over again. Christine's voice breaking through like sun rays through clearing clouds, and Stevie's voice to pull at you "and remember"; voices matching lyrics. It's so different than other FM instances... I hesitate to use the word "substitute" for Lindsey with Billy Burnette and Rick Vito because their style change is so stark, yet remains great, memorizing, and up to FM standards (imho).

Unfortunately, I agree with you. 99% of the live footage comes from the Tango in the Night tour video (in other words : three years before), and at times you can even tell which songs they originally come from. That's odd, because this incarnation of the band DID perform "In the back of my mind" on their 1990 tour, so they would have had the opportunity to use real live footage... Also, the animation is a bit plain and boring (although it's not like I could do any better, lol !). The band was hitting the rocks at that point, and this video is sort of a testimony to that. I always liked this song, however. It was a highlight from the "Behind the Mask" album, which is sadly underrated because of the inevitable comparisons to their epic five previous albums...
