Fleetwood Mac's Christine McVie Dead at 79

Christine McVie, Fleetwood Mac co-lead singer, has died. She was 79. Christine died Nov. 30 at a hospital after enduring a short illness, surrounded by her family. She rose to fame when she joined Fleetwood Mac in 1970, contributing to many of the band's later hits. Christine left the group in 1998, but ultimately returned for its 2014 tour and maintained a member until her final days.

I'm amazed by this incredible woman. She helped create Fleetwood Mac long before they became famous....and they did become famous. She had the heart and soul to remain modest forever.. I loved them way back in the early 70s. " Tell Me" was my fav.!❤

Christine McVie was a virtuoso musical genius in a band of musical geniuses. They delivered live performances like Olympic endurance athletes traveling the world decade after decade. I'm talking about prolific hit song writing heard by most of the known world at some point. My first Fleetwood Mac concert was in '86 as a kid in college and I was blown away by the sheer number of hit songs the band serenaded the arena with for 2 hours straight. For $50. I feel like I owe her money lol. Godspeed Christine.

As a decade-long fan, I find the passing of her very painful, but I'm also happy for her having heard her talk about the painful back she had in later years and having to stand to play keyboards. I'm so glad to know she is released from that now. Did ya'll see the artwork she did for the 1970 album cover "Kiln House." The detail is fantastic. She was so very talented in numerous ways🙏♥. RIP.
