I remember watching episode 1 of this campaign live and watching up to episode 5 as they came out on KZbin. I got hit with some DnD watching burnout and, unfortunately, dropped this series. I decided on a whim to try rewatching this campaign from the beginning back in May and now I've officially caught up. You guys are awesome and each of you have made me a better player and DM because of the inspiration I've gleaned from you all. And since joining you all since episode 5 of Campaign one to now, I've started a DnD campaign with some great friends, finished said campaign after 4 years, started a second, and have made some lifelong friends because of it. Thank you all because The Unexpectables was the reason I fell back in love with DnD.

I thought this week was a no-show, so having randomly popped twitch open to see y'all Live was the treat to a stressful day. *Points at Monty* Don't apologize for prioritizing your health! Even God gave Himself a day to rest. This was an excellent episode rife with both comedy and character-building; Otho, in particular, compartmentalizing his fears and appearing ready to sacrifice some of his principals to exact either justice or revenge. Also, I appreciate Monty having Take show indignation at Milo's assumption that she has a cache of stolen goods, distinguishing her from just any-two bit unfortunate and, moreover, Take's mother. The entire break-in was tense, with the entrance being the biggest margin for error. Milo and Ky make an unlikely but versatile duo after this event.

Meanwhile in Gaius does his best impersonation of an actual cat name Godzilla including the purple spines!

Taka just went into some details on his stream the other day on what was going on with him. In October 2022, his dog got a really bad eye infection to which the poor dog almost lost his eye. Taka pretty much had to go to his parents house every 2 hours to administer eye drops because it was a 3 person job. That lines up with him leaving Unexpectables. That and he was dealing with extreme burnout, he went 12 years without a break that lasted more than 2 weeks

On today's episode of the Unexpectables. Otho rejects an offer, Isqan slithers out of trouble, Ky peeps the horrors, Milo calls collect and Gaius sings the time away. Oooh, its been a while since my suggestion made it to the episode title. Last time was Mourning After back in Campaign 1, so that's fun. Anyways, spoiler talk below! Well, after their time in the warehouse, the boys deserved to have some hot dice today. Really Enjoy Fleshcloak. You can truly tell that he is the Dance Melcabre's disciple. They don't quite have their...unique disposition, but they seem to have a sense of fun.

Electrum isn't hard if you think of it as 50 cents and gold as a dollar. So that leaves copper as 1 cent, silver 10 cents, and platinum as $10. This change in thought process helps me in shopping sessions. Especially when I'm playing with my kids.

@blizzardforonline1954 Yes. Electrum are worth five silver pieces, and two of them equal one gold piece. There's a table in the Equipment chapter of the Players Handbook that shows the general exchange rate of currency. It's on page 143 in the copy I own.

IM BACK PEOPLE LEMME GEEK SPOILERS FOR THIS EPISODE, THE NEXT 2 EPISODES, aND ALSO THE FIRST CAMPIAGN TECHNICALLY?? wassup my homies im back to drop my two cents on the comment section: first off dudes and dudettes I actually binged this episode and the next 2 after this one in 2 days. That means 9 hours out of 48 total were Alton Frontiers. GONNA BE ENTIRELY HONEST I DO NOT REMEMBER MUCH. The portion of two days listening to Alton was because I had a horrible sinus infection and I needed to distract myself as i attempted to sleep. Though I was excited to catch back up. and catch back up I did, I don't really remember much of what happened. Reminder I dropped the series for a month because I wanted to avoid cliffhangers (because there were many off-sessions in July) and when I came back. I watched the 3 episodes I had saved, got to the end of the final one... and was INSTANTLY hit with a cliffhanger. Which I think is hilarious. cough cough one often finds their destiny on the path they take to avoid it. ANYWAY! actual session stuff time! Ive said it before, and i'll say it again, Valentinius family is very interesting to me, hence why when the lady was like "ur gonna talk to this person who is also getting something from this" and my mind instantly went to Brutus (because of otho being ransomed) but then it went to MEL and I was like NAH but thankfully it wasn't Mel it was just one of her peoples. Gaius, Otho and Isqan did EPICLY on the talking to the kobold (I don't remember their name). Milo and Ky did EPICALLY on the break in plan heck YES bosco and gaijin planning KINGS (sometimes). Otho is scary guys, like he's actually cooked. And its gonna be great. Like that sending message?? Chills. The fallen angel thingy? CHILLS. A very short lemme geek segment but as always, rewatches will probs continue me to update this comment. Epic session peoples! (will probs rewatch the next two episodes before writing their lemme geek comments, because this is like the shortest one yet I mean its pitiful.)

In my defense, I wasn't trying to be mean to Monty, just not a fan of WOTC's action economy or spell prep rules, I do like the idea of using components to learn new spells but when I first tried in game by components, I thought you had to specifically buy each component but couldn't find prices in D&D Beyond

Certain folks like to be assholes for no reason. It is thankfully uncommon over on their Twitch, but here on KZbin it is a different story. Normally people are posting mean things about Bosco, but Monty by nature of being the DM does get shit flung her way as well. Occasionally the others do get flak as well, but it is less common.
