I love how Rafiki is portrayed in "Mufasa: The Lion King." He's young and playful, and even though he's old in "The Lion King," you can still tell he's playful, just not as much. He really defines the essence of a monkey.

He sort of split the kingdom by being Mufasa's insider. Why is he and Mufasa sneaking around behind Taka's back ? The truth of how this pride teamed up on Taka must be revealed finally, seems uncharacteristic of Mufasa to turn on his brother.

I still don’t feel any sympathy for Scar / Taka. A kingdom isn't something that should just be handed over; it must be earned. The Pridelands didn't truly belong to Scar or Mufasa. A real king understands that their worth comes from how they serve their kingdom, not from what the kingdom can provide for them. Scar had the option to leave and create his own pride, but instead, he chose to use murder and deceit to get what he wanted. Instead of thinking, "I should be the king," it's important to ask yourself, "Do I deserve to be king, and what will I do to earn it?" And being of Noble blood doesn’t make you worthy of anything.

You mix reality with fiction , in the Fictional realm the system of rule should always be monarchy , because its a better story that extends the story of the character the idea of royal blood line offers a long historical context , second thing Lions are a symbol of Royalty not presidents , so please shush with your Disney modernity ideas

You have very valid points, several of which I agree with...well, maybe I agree with most of them. Still, I do feel compassion for Taka/Scar who was brought up to believe he would be King. I think Taka(Scar) was in love with ....what was the name of the female lion who was following Mufasa and Taka?? Taka had the hots for her, so to speak, and she fell for Mufasa...so, for Taka, his world was following apart...I feel sad for him...At the same time however, I am not justifying his actions. Taka made his own choices and decisions and became Scar...he was also a very wounded lion and I feel sadness and compassion for him .....just sayin'....

Theory Time and could possible hint to spoilers Could this lead to the possible origins or link to the lioness Zira has member, linked or descendants of the pride of Outsider, and maybe Kiros the leader/ruler of the Outsiders he's father and explain why we do not see her in Mufasa pride (outside that plot device or scenario) and show the tragedy of Taka even more because the more and more Mufasa robbed he's destiny the more Taka leaning and agree with Kiros ideology and ambition becoming like him, like some sort of diesis or curse, think if you Know Vinland saga the Crown curse of Knut slowly and slowly becoming ruthless, tyrant, malecious, cold and calculating like his father Sweyn, becoming an Outsider himself, maybe in the Shadows he lear in secret talking with the remain of Outsider Kiros pride to how he would dismissed Mufasa has the rightfull King and heir with the help of the hyena long last rival and ennemies of lion, they see in him a good succesor to Kiros (heck even his brighter coat match well with the leusistic and greyish coat of the outsider) and this is how he gain the heart of Zira and have Vitani and Nuka, heck if Zira is just the lioness of the outsider with no family affiliation maybe Kovu is the son of Kiros (in the live action) and this is why he was chose by Scar/Taka and Zira has the rightfull heir and succesor to the throne of Prideland, it would be interesting and better way to show the downfall of scar than the Snake/cobra venom in the Lion Guard show.
