No need to apologize for getting emotional at the 9/11 Memorial. I lived in the NY Metro in Jersey City across the Hudson from Manhattan, and they have pieces of the towers and a small memorial with victims' names at Liberty State Park. I cried too whenever I would go there.

I might add the same! I can't visit that area without crying. I lost three friends that day. Two that worked in the twin towers and another that was onboard American 11 headed to do a job in California. I date a current American Flight Attendant who has actually worked with Julia before. She knew and had worked with several of the F/As on Flight 11 as well as on Flight 77. I'm sorry I clicked past those parts, even today 20+ years later even watching videos upsets me! I will just say to echo your words, thank you for respecting that area!

Hi Julia. Thank you for this great video. I’m a first responder at DFW but I was born and raised in NYC. Thank you for visiting the 9/11 memorial. It means a lot to me. I was in the Air Force during that horrific event and was on duty at Frankfurt airport when this broke out. I had just been in NYC 3 weeks earlier and hung out with my friends at Rescue 3 in the Bronx. I told those guys that I was scheduled to return to to NY on September 13th in preparations to celebrate my birthday. We all agreed to hang out and party it up well. I would have never imagined that after that day and returning to Germany, that would be the last time that I saw those guys. It’s very surreal when I think about it and I miss my brothers at Rescue 3. For that matter, much love and respect to all of the first responders who paid the ultimate sacrifice along with the civilians who perished in this cowardly act. If you get a chance, go by the 9/11 memorial in Grapevine Texas. It commemorates that tragic day and has a special tribute to your brothers and sisters (cabin crew) who lost their lives with your company. They did a really great job building it and your company pays a strong tribute on every anniversary. Take care and hello to Eric and Luna.

It broke my heart to see You getting out of your car in the dark At 6am at DFW in a public parking Structure when you remembered That your employee parking permit Had expired. You started your day Hours earlier and your day was going To be long. In a way, I looked at you as "My daughter" and wanted life to be Kind to an angel like you. Your work Ethic inspires me to live more alive. I worked in Honolulu for Northwest Airlines and lived in a skyscraper on The 46th floor years ago. Isnt New York City exciting? Its the buildings, the people and the hustle that makes it amazing. We used to go their every year when i was a teenager to Rockefeller Center and Radio City Music Hall for the Christmas Show and the Rockettes and Broadway show shows. I loved it. New York City can be both a fun and a stressful place. The city never sleeps and people from all over the world come to visit NYC for both business and personal trips. I grew up in a suburb to the west of NYC in northern New Jersey and have lost count as to how many times I have visited the big apple.

Seeing the names on the 911 Memorial and tears in your eyes made this 74 year old man cry too. Same as when I visited the Viet Nam War Memorial Wall. Sometimes we don't appreciate how lucky we are and each day we should give thanks for the blessings we do have and our families and friends.
