Thank you for this basic tutorial on this flight planner computer. As mentioned the G3000 is a bit more intuitive. I am a new flight simmer and have been totally stumped by this on board unit. I am looking forward to more information such as loading and activating an approach with this system. Thank you again and stay well.

Hi DH Blan good to see that you liked the video. I will add the idea of the approach to my list of video's to record so keep an eye on my channel. Thanks you again for the feedback and stay well

Learned a few things about setting up a flight plan from your video, thanks! Pretty clear for most of it but around 15:10 in the video you start doing a lot of fast clicking with little or no explanation of each step, so it becomes hard to follow. A tip for future videos, leave the cursor on the button you just clicked for a few seconds so viewers can find it, while explaining why you clicked that button.

@@Highintheflightsimsky do you have any problems with holding FL at all? Sometimes it just wont go up or down the selected altitude. 29.92 Altimeter, under 250Knots, heading works tho.
@Highintheflightsimsky4 жыл бұрын
Check the altitude button for the autopilot. There are a few options in the airliners also which resulted in the same. Try to see if you can push the button up or down. In addition to this use the VS button to increase the climb rate sometimes also helps.

how do I differentiate an airway from a fixed and a transition? I never know the theoretical difference to know how to distinguish when putting together a plan.
@Highintheflightsimsky3 жыл бұрын
Airways is a predefined route which is used during your flight and consists out of multiple waypoints. The airway is in most cases used after the standard instrumental departure (SID) if I am correct. The transition is where you change from the CRZ to the standard terminal approach (STAR).

so, when im making waypoint, for example DME04, im getting 12 page'd list of every DME04 in the world, how i am supposed to know, of which one is the only one i want.... do i have to press every single one, and clear if its the wrong one?
@Highintheflightsimsky3 жыл бұрын
Hi Morfik no every entry should have it's country code behind it. Based on this you would be able to select the correct waypoint.

They are ordered by distance, so top one is usually right.

Where do I set the squawk code in the citation, is it automatic, cause i can't find where to put it?
@Highintheflightsimsky3 жыл бұрын
Hi pizza4cowboys normally the squawk code would be set automatically, if you want to set it manually you need to look into the MCDU menu which contains an option to set the radio/navigation and squawk code which is set to 7000 by default if I am correct

MSFS flight computers are a fucking disaster...every tutorial (including my own) we try to show how it's supposed to work and then encounter a million bugs.
