Namibia is a fantastic country to visit. For wildlife, you might prefer Botswana, but for sheer variety of landscape and a sense of wilderness, Namibia is unbeatable.

What a great day Gabe had to showcaae Namibia and it's amazing scenery, and it was so good to have the close up of the cockpit and chatting to the aircrew. Well done Gabe (you lucky guy!)

So much to talk about after watching this video. Once again Gabriel shows great stamina after a long hot day being bounced around in the incredible versatile, 208 caravan. The country is a scenic feast for the eyes, especially if you're a geologist. I have flown high wing Cessnas, but never a caravan with the wonderful PT6A Pratt and Whitney in the nose. Looking forward to more, FR24 & Gabe comes through again! Thanks -Jim

Wonderful to see a country from the air, I think you learn so much more about it and Namibia looks to be a very striking country and must be a great place for bush flying. Thanks for sharing.

When I was 17 I flew to Namibia by myself, and I remember the ascent out of cape town was turbulent, but 20 mins later with the karoo it was stunning. I have to say I prefer bumpy takeoff as well. I did elephant conservation work there for 2 weeks as part of my duke of Edinburgh award and i loved every minute of it. Thanks for the awesome throwback down memory lane.

Super nice video! Love the hands-on flying, the increedible landscapes and also the segment where both pilots tell a little bit about themselves and the flying they do. Cool people, amazing country, never been to Namibia, but I'd love to see it one day!

Thanks, Gabe. A great video as usual. Took 2 weeks passing through Namibia a few years back. A beautiful, diverse country. Fantastic to see familiar places from the air. It was interesting to hear the pilots' points of view about the varied flying conditions there, too. Loved the outro! Haha!

All the flight sim nerds are happy that you put the ICAO codes for the airports. We would have found them regardless, but nice cherry on top! Great video too!

What a contrast from last week! The more controlled environment of the A220 to the more ‘hands on’ approach to the Cessna Caravan. Coupled with the terrific footage of the landscape of Namibia!

Well, that was fun. I will pass on a longer stay there but enjoy yourself. Bumps not problem in either case. You get all of that fun in piston engine flying. 10 thousand feet over Ohio in a DC 3 in the summertime you do get a few bumps. Modern flyers have no clue and miss some of the fun flying piston.

Why does the captains wears 3 strips iso 4?
@kaylamilne7940Ай бұрын
I was the captain on the flight, I hold a Commercial Pilots License, so I wear 3 bars to represent that, typically 4 bars are worn when you get a Airline transport Pilots License however some companies like the captain to wear 4 bars to show they are the senior on the flight
@SquawkVFR1981Ай бұрын
@ thanks! First time I saw this. At my airline the Captain holds 4 and the FO 3 stripes. Have a nice day
