www.flippingfifty.com/5dayflip Lose Menopausal Belly Fat FOR GOOD with These Foods Changing to a high protein low carb start to your day and consistently eating a high protein meal at lunch and dinner can change your ability to lose menopause weight and menopause belly fat.
By improving blood sugar levels, reducing insulin resistance and positively influencing your ability to preserve or gain lean muscle tissue, you can support exercise effort and longevity.
Animal protein is generally high quality and more bioavailable for the use of muscle, but regardless of whether you are a vegetarian or carnivore, maintaining muscle is key. Essential amino acids in protein are the building blocks of muscle.

Intermittent fasting worked for a while but I've noticed that it is no longer working. I am guilty of doing coffee until noon and I'm gonna stop that habit. You have inspired me to eat breakfast starting with a protein shake. I've been watching you over the last three weeks and I have learned so much from you. Anything I watch I learn! Thank you!

Yes IF works till it does not. unfortunately I didn’t figure that out until I did some pretty massive hormonal damage had to kind of reversed things go back to 12 to 14 hours circadian natural way of eating. I wake up and I eat or intake calories within an hour, and I eat every 3 to 4 hours, depending on physical activity, not afraid of carbs. I personally eat a lot of fruit, and just recently started to retest how my body is reacting and my glucose has been better than it was when I was intermittent fasting and even intermittent fasting for longer periods of time I feel balanced, energetic I sleep well my strength has gone up ect. I also want to note that I am a 46 year-old who had an abdominal complete hysterectomy with a right side oophrectomy in February 2021. I went through surgical menopause and have been on estrogen replacement transdermal patches since November 2021, and overall with everything I feel balanced, and more in check. I hope this helps.

This was great, thank you! Just found your channel today and already love it. So true about breakfast in other countries. When I moved to Japan a few years ago and first went to a Japanese breakfast buffet, I was shocked at seeing all the salad, soup, rice, fish, chicken, beef, eggs, tofu, mushrooms, potatoes, seaweed, etc. At first I didn't know what I would eat because I was so used to the standard American breakfast foods I had grown up with.

Start hitting the weights slowly and gradually increase your weight once you have good technique down. You don’t want to make yourself so sore that you can’t move. A little soreness is good. It can seem slow but as long as you are making increases in weight or the number of reps each week, you’ll see progress.

The information on coconut water and hemp seeds will add more protein to my morning smoothie which already consists of vegan protein, collagen and amino acids.....The creatin I'm going to add, too. I need to suddenly change my diet at 49 (postmenopausal for a couple of years), because I suddenly, from one day to another it feels, gained more than 10 pounds, Shocker! Hello from Brazil! I am 60 and since I entered menopause I just can't lose weight. Watching this video made me realize how we, Brazilians, eat exactly the opposite of what we should at breakfast! My current breakfast of tea with just a tiny amount of milk and two slices of wholewheat bread with sugarfree jam has almost ZERO protein!!! 🤦‍♀Now I will have to think about a way of increasing the amount of protein I eat in the morning without increasing my dairy intake or relying too heavily on eggs, which I don't really like... anyway, thank you for this video, I certainly learned A LOT! As a vegan who is also very nutrition minded, I have found, or rather veganized and also essentially what originally was a mostly plant-based English classic, a breakfast "fry up", or classic English breakfast that I have veganized. The way I make it is as follows: I use Beyond sausage, high-end plant protein and they make three different flavor profiles I just always choose the original breakfast sausage. I substitute the fried eggs for Just Egg, which is delicious actually I think it tastes better than eggs, and I'll make a small vegan cheese omelette, using Violife brand American, cheddar or Colby type. Then I use leftover boiled or baked potatoes with some diced onion, pepper and smoked paprika and prepare delicious home fries, with a side of sauteed mushrooms, whatever type you prefer and then broiled tomato slices, with a sprinkling fine herbs or any seasoning you like. That basically gives you, counting the tomatoes, and the onion an extremely high plant protein breakfast with FOUR veggies! And most importantly, no harm done

Dry Oatmeal with 1 c fat free almond milk (or any vegan milk) 30 calories, 1 gram protein Oatmeal - 5 protein Add in 2 scoops Orgain vanilla vegan protein powder (it's 150 cal, 21 protein, 15 carb, no sugar!) Plus add in 1 tbsp chia seeds OR hemp seeds OR a small sprinkle of a bit like walnuts (use your judgement on calories for yourself etc.) Add vegan milk of choice Top with 1/2 c. How about beans as a protein source. Or nuts/peanut butter. Are the not a total protein alone? Do we need to have them with a carbohydrate? Thank you!! I’m guilty of a noon breakfast too. But am working on an earlier dinner, awake earlier, and be hungry earlier

Beans? Protein? They are mostly carbs! In 100g of boiled Kidney Beans there’s only 9g of protein and 23g of carbs! I’m not even mentioning baked beans in tomato sauce, it’s mostly carbs and added sugar!! Nuts? They’re mostly fat, and small amount of protein. Just watched your video again after suffering bad insomnia the past week now and i think one of my issues is fasting. I have a demanding & stressful job (12hr days) and go to the gym around 5/6am fasted. I lift for about an hr then go on treadmill for 30mins. All of this coupled with then going to a stressful job straight after is probably raising cortisol n not building muscle. As you say, it's an eye opener. Im going to start having a protein shake in morning. It makes sense what you said about muscle break down especially as we age. You look fabulous btw. Im 38 and hope to look like you

I like this recipe. Soaked vegan oatmeal Mix 1/2 c. Dry Oatmeal with fat free almond milk (or any vegan milk) I use 1 c. fat free almond milk, 30 calories, but it only has 1 g. protein, but I make up for it with add ins Oatmeal - 5 protein Add in 2 scoops Orgain vanilla vegan protein powder (it's 150 cal, 21 protein, 15 carb, no sugar!) Plus add in 1 tbsp chia seeds OR hemp seeds OR a small sprinkle of a bit like walnuts (use your judgement on calories for yourself etc.) Add vegan milk of choice Top with 1/2 c. Frozen blueberries or other fruit That's 26 grams of protein with just the oatmeal and protein powder! Then when you add in nuts or other things it will increase it a few more grams and I think you're good enough!

@Flipping50 I also didn't realize you had your own protein powder brand! Good to know 🙏 I usually don't eat breakfast first thing in the morning and I'm not eating my first meal until about 11:00 or 11:30 in the morning. I follow a whole food plant-based (WFPB) diet and I add in Greek yogurt from time to time or sometimes I have had a bit of sardines or canned salmon. I'm not afraid of carbs because humans have existed on carbs for many centuries! I encourage people to look up a whole foods plant-based diet because you can meet all your nutritional needs without ever actually having to consume any animal products at all. Many people live healthy lives being completely vegan and having high carb diets with low fat! If you Google it, you'll see many reputable doctors that are vegan themselves that are advanced in age and have had great longevity with a vegan lifestyle.

The truth of the matter is your body does not know when you're feeding it just that you're feeding it. If you stop eating early in the day or early evening you may need breakfast. If you have your largest meal in the evening you may not be hungry or need breakfast. As long as you are getting the calories you need in the day to reach your goals it dosen't matter when you get them.

Not all women in midlife are insulin resistant or "more likely to be". In todays society based on the avg American diet alot of women may be overweight and eating shit food that makes them insulin resistance but our comment alludes to because we are post menopausal women we are more likely to be insulin resistant and that is not the case. If your overweight and have a history of eating tons of processed food then you just might be insulin resistant.

@@Flipping50TV This is true but it would be good to know how much is from the former vs the latter. However either way it reiterates the importance of eating a whole food diet and exercise for optimal results. Exercise is powerful in not only managing cortisol but also insulin resistance. Unfortunately alot of women going into menopause don't feel well therefore their activity level in the form of NEAT and exercise tends to decrease :( which is exactly the opposite of what would be optimal for managing their symptoms.

As a world traveler for the past 30 years, the U.S. is definitely not the only country to do "breakfast foods" 🤣🤣🤣In Latin America it's lots of egg type dishes (even in little out of the way places off the tourist trail, and all over Central and South America), and in a lot of Europe it is super high carb items. And Canada is a country, too, and they eat the same kind of breakfast we do. The only places I've personally been that don't do a breakfast-type food is Asia. Mistakes like this make me question everything the presenter says. Unfortunately, it happens sooo often with these KZbin Gurus. Ugh.

Cottage cheese has 12 g., of protein per half cup, which is great if you can handle dairy. I'm so glad you're pro- protein from animal products. I so agree with you about intermittent fasting and poor (crazy) habits people have developed to stay thin or women who will do anything to get back to a decent weight... which is me. But you said something profound, I think it may be in this video or another, but, that is to look at things from a completely different perspective. What would it look like if I achieved perfect health: a natural equilibrium within myself where I a not doing any weird diet or incorporating weird / extreme eating habits.. I'm getting good sleep, my exercise is regular. This is where there is (would be) balance. If I was able to take the chains off and just shift into a way of being, and be more gentle on myself, would I then naturally be in great shape? Reversing the thinking and hearing you pose that scenario really made me think. I am 59, and about forty lbs over weight. Starting four months ago I made the decision to wake everyday and do easy to moderate exercise, but everyday and have not missed a day. My goal is to reverse muscle loss (though I am fairly muscular and very strong) and the changes are starting to be visible, but how I feel has really changed. I am coming out of a very stressful period of my life that lasted several years, and I know the weight gain is due to the stress and crazy sleep patterns, so I made a commitment to makes changes. I do 15lb. kettlebell exercises, and maybe elliptical 2x a week. I am avoiding pushing hard, so as not to produce cortisol and these are daily light to med. 10 - 20min workouts. I am.going to watch and increase my protein for sure. Just found your channel, great information!
