Thank you so much for doing this video with the veneer. Not at all boring. About two months ago my mom asked my brother and I to clean out my dad’s side of the garage. One of my dad‘s hobbies was woodworking. They have a four car garage so that was a two cars area of space. We found four rolls of 3 foot by at least 100‘ Rolled up veneer (yes it is in pieces in that roll). Black walnut, cherry one is possibly oak and the other is a mystery wood we can’t identify yet. My brother said he didn’t want it. Let’s put it on the burn pile. I grinned like an idiot and said nope it’s coming home with me. My husband and I are starting a new hobby together and I know that the walnut certainly will come in handy. And I believe my father would be very happy to know that his daughter is going to do something with the veneer that he had stored for a very long time. So again, thank you for doing this video on the correct application of veneer. You are an amazing teacher!

At the start, I couldn't decide if this was a labour of love or just pure lunacy! Jay, you worked an absolute miracle with a beautiful result, so glad that you didn't give up and chuck the whole thing on the scrap heap (I think I would have done that). I won't even comment on the before photos - there are just no words to describe that mess. But the after was worth all of the work you put into this - a beautiful and useful piece of cabinetry. I love the final tint to the oil - a mellow shade of brown that is goes great with the blackish tone of the trim. Another amazing transformation. Bravo Jay.

The trim that you placed on the doors was done so well, that no one would have suspected that it was put there because of the gap, the extra pieces matched the trim in other places so perfectly. I love this little cupboard; it turned out brilliantly and was well worth it.😻❤❤❤❤❤

Love this because it shows how to be safe working with old furniture with unknown histories, molds, or contamination, and especially LEAD. Seriously, protective gloves, masks, and cover-up clothes that STAY in workshop. Also, keep food and drinks out of the area
