The effort you have made to teach us physics is something to be respected. I’m living and studying in Eastern of Turkey. My classes are 100% English, and I cannot say that we have enough resources here. Thanks to you, I have just started to understand physics with fun. I respect your labor forever. Thank you so much. I wish you continued success.

The greatest thing of this video is that this is not just ,,eh you put this and this to the average velocity formula and voila", but instead this video gives an idea of how students should approach, access and get closer to solution. I'm a Junior HS student and a Politics guy, but these videos really made me interested into the field of physics. Keep up the great work!! Love from Korea :)

When I have read the problem first, I thought the way that plus all velocity and divide it by 3 to get average velocity. But I watched last explanation and I got it now! Thank you Mr. P!

@@FlippingPhysics hello! Long time no see(I don't know if this is the proper expression..) I'm a college student, who studied physics with your video two years ago(and my major is physics) Although It's been a long time since I watched your videos, I'm still studying physics with passion:) Now I'm studying with a dream of becoming a great physics teacher(like you Mr. P) In this process, I got a chance to tutor freshmen who entered a physics major. So I made a team and I had my first activity last week. Now I'm preparing for the second week of tutoring. We'll studying 'one-dimensional movement' in the second week of our activity. I need a problem to help students understand the concept, and your problem is really appropriate to explain concepts. May I introduce this problem? Some of my English skills are not good, so I used a translator. I'm sorry if there was an error. Ps. My channel name is not my real name. I am Korean, and I just wrote down a plausible English name. My real name is 권조희(Gwon jo hee).

@@eoo37 I think it is great that you are coming back to my videos in order to help students learn. I am not quite sure what your question is, however, I will do my best to answer. If your question is, "May I use these KZbin videos to help my freshmen students learn physics?" The answer is Yes. However, please do not download the videos and upload them somewhere else, that is against copyright laws. Best of luck on your project!

So I got a quick question...I had to graph a exponential graph for displacement vs time and I have to find three points on the graph and calculate the instant velocity between them. Would finding the average still be same with the tan lines
@Anveshkrishna
@Anveshkrishna 10 ай бұрын
Mr.P I have a problem. Instead of rearranging the equation I made displacement (1/2(vi + vf)t)/t. However, this gives me the wrong answer. Could you explain why? Is it because I dont account for velocity 2?

I understand the last part which answers the question in terms of acceleration, for it to work they must have uniform acceleration but can’t wrap my head around the fact the velocities have to have the same time intervals. Care to explain pls?

If you drive at 10 mph for 10 minutes and 20 mph for 10 minutes, the average speed is 15 mph, right? If you drive at 10 mph for 10 minutes and 20 mph for 100 minutes, is the average speed still 15 mph?
