This is a really amazing job you did. If more people spent time making clear, well made educational youtubes on topics such as chemistry , calculus, and other subjects, this could revolutionize the educational system as we know it. There would be less of a need to print out the requisite 300 page physics textbook which , lets face it, most students don't read anyway. This is a very engaging and immersive first step into the subject, i will recommend it to my peers struggling with physics. I'm going to watch all your physics videos. Looking forward to seeing future subjects. p.s. i sent a donation

Hello! I believe the correct answer is actually 234.3 (Billy mentions this number at 12:16) . I double checked by solving two different ways and came to the same conclusion. Perhaps you accidentally switched the second and third digits when writing it on the board? Please let me know if this is correct or if I am mistaken.

You have the correct answer. I wrote it incorrectly on the board and, sadly, KZbin does not allow uploads of corrected videos.

so, if doing the common mistake ended up working out to be the right answer did it just so happen to work for this one example and that it is the wrong technique for how to solve this type of problem in general?

I am sorry, however, I am confused by your question. The correct answer is 234.3 and the incorrect answer one gets when doing the common mistake is 234.0. Note: Those two answers are not the same. Which is why I do not understand your question. I discuss exactly what is wrong with the common mistake at 10:45.

oh okay, yes my mistake I just rounded off my answer to 234 when I did the problem. physics answers are very precise much more so then my math classes. I'm going to have to take more care in looking at sig figs and not just rounding off my answers. by the way thank u so much for taking ur time to answer my questions. I am learning a lot from ur videos!

+Stephen Mullins In physics we don't round until the answer. Rounding in the middle of a problem often results in an incorrect answer. Glad to help you learn my friend. 🙂

Not as hard as I thought!(Because before I solved the problem, I was really scared and nervous😂)I focused on solving the problem, and it wasn't too hard.
