It can get messy...but just be patient and you will be fine...the fix still last to today after almost 2 years...so is deff worth the time to put into it. thank you for watching

Good result my friend. As far as I know, some of the materials you work with (especially carbon dust from sanding and epoxy vapor) are very toxic. So, I would use a quality mask when working with these materials. If not you, who else is going to put up informative Fliteboard content?

Is a nice way to get it nice and tight...I just realized that I should had tried to match the carbon fiber cloth to the same direction of the carbon on the wing...completely forgot about that...but is just looks...Im very happy how smooth the wing is wot even one bump or volume...that was my major concern....next time Ill try to match the cloth...actually I hope there is not a next time lol

I have a crack leading edge of my wing. it is very fine but when you squeeze the front of the wing i can see water squish out. Should I try to drill holes or something to make sure all water is out before trying to repair using your method?
@Coach_Rolando5 ай бұрын
@@mikeb4414First of all I would let the wing in the sun for at least one day to evaporate the water… now you could drill the wholes to give a better strength to the relaid… however it friends where on the leading edge is… if the crack is in the mid of the ring go ahead, but if is in the ends I would not. But make sure that you will fill up the holes with resin. Also make sure you are wearing s face mask when you are sanding the carbon

Great work bro. Hope I never have to do that. 😅

Trust me… I don’t want to do it again… that is what happens when you ride in places that you are not familiar with and when the water is not so clear.

Great video and nice repair mate ! I’ve actually broken a carbon foil board on both sides and was wondering if the paste you’re showing here could work as well on a board ? Ever tried this ?
@Coach_Rolando Жыл бұрын
Hey mate….well… as I said for small cracks the “paste” will work… is basically epoxy resin with some very fine metal powder … so if is an small ding orca small crack it will fix it… however if is a long crack that will compromise the “strength” for the board … then I recommend the carbon fiber cloth… it is not hard to work on at all. I hope this helps

Glad it was helpful… just be patient, take your time and get ready for some mess… by the way… I forgot to mention. Use a face mask when sanding carbon fiber … the fine powder is not good for you.
