@@ralexcraft990 well, technically it's just an airborne landing tank. Even though it flies, that does not classify it as an aircraft. For instance in the Second World War, the Russians experimented with plans for an armored "glider" to assist paratroopers. They called it the Antonov A-40 and it was literally just a tank with wings made of canvas strapped to the side of it. Although it never saw battle, it was still classified as a tank as that was it's function.

That's the coolest build you've ever done! This hobby is my passion too, used to be bigtime into it when I was younger and could afford it. Disabled now and cant hardly afford the foam board it's made of, but I'm trying to get back into it! Tried to download the Legacy plans, but I cant find them anywhere, so I downloaded the FT Cub and enlarged it by 45%. I only enlarged it because I'm recycling a powerful electric 3d flyer and the motor has way more power than any of your quick build kits can handle, and I cant even afford a quick build kit... I hope you guys make that thicker foam board available to us all soon

It's a great time to get back into the hobby on the cheap, prices have come way way down since I started 10 years ago in my teens, I'm sure you can make it happen! I still love my nitro planes but electric is the way to go if you want on the cheap. I have made hobby lobby foam board work before too, you can get big sheets of it for less than 10 dollars and no shipping fees of course.

Fun fact: during WW2 the Soviet Union actually did build a flying tank, it was more of a glider since it has no thrust, but the project was abandoned because of the lack of aircraft at the time capable of pulling it to it's required speed

It made me imagine what the Wright Brothers (et all all the flying pioneers) reacted like when THEIR project succeeded for the first time :) :) :) I really enjoyed how stable it looked, how smooth is was in is movements, and how dovey the landing was. Wasn't sure if that was pilot or design caused (or both), but it sure was a thing of beauty to watch! Thank you for sharing!!!

@@MrXBT2000 Nah. Practically the chances of that happening are small and since the drone is flying, the chances of him seeing the high five is also small. Even if he did, the chances of him realizing that guy was trying to high five him is small, since he would be seeing a lot of the environment around the people and he wont be paying much attention a single guy on the ground, so he may not even realise that the guy was trying to high five him. And also since the drone is there to follow the flying stuff and not the people on the ground its pretty much impossible for the guy to see the high five and even if he did, he wouldnt realise it as he would be paying more attention to flying than seeing people try to high five him when he is wearing a headset and flying a drone. So yeah, i think you understand what i am trying to say.

@@MW-cn4xi number of hinfs being shot down is related woth how many are being used. my point is you can't shoot down a hind with rifle fire, they require specific ordinace while a a10 is easily shot down (when hit). this makes a hind like a flying tank and an a10 like a flying at gun.

At time 3:40 the main benefit to a canard wing is your aircraft cannot go into a stall. The forward wing being smaller will lose lift first and naturally point the nose down. This causes the vehicle to speed up and regain lift. Stall prevention is one of the main reasons to use a canard wing.

Result: Tanks do not make practical aircraft. (UFO reports though were high that day .... ) - And if you do manage it, NOW try firing the main gun, especially at 90 degrees to direction of flight.
