The Director said that the reveal that Miles is the first anomaly is a meta-commentary on what led to the creation of the first Black Spider-Man. Some fans believe that Miles doesn't deserve his power or belong in the mask.

In your Into the Spider-Verse reaction, you mention the choices we make, and Miles being able to overcome his flaws compared to Kingpin who's overcome by his flaws. That carries over to this movie very well. As there is a hint in the first movie that Miles was on his way to following in Aaron's footsteps and becoming the Prowler. When he meets Spider-man (Pine) they "spider sense" each other, Miles's starts off green and purple (Prowler's colors) and Peter's are red and blue (Spiderman's colors) and then Miles's changes to red and blue. It does make sense, with his relationships to his uncle and father, not to mention trying to get kicked out of Vision Academy, sneaking out, etc. That spider bite changes the lives of the Miles in both dimensions. In Spot's flashback you actually see the spider making it's way towards Earth 42 Miles. Hinting their paths switched. Can't wait for Beyond the Spider-Verse

The colour palette in this movie is incredible! Particularly in Gwen's universe. The way it shifts depending on the mood of the scene, like when her dad is half in red and half in blue when he's debating with himself whether to arrest her or not. This movie is so freaking good as a story, and such a work of art visually. I was completely blown away by it.

When the first trailer for this movie came out, it was labeled part 1. And they let it be known there was going to be a 3rd movie. At first I was unhappy they let us know. But when I saw this opening night, I understood why they did. And realizing that it's the middle of the story, it makes sense that there's no post credit scene. Though it still would have been nice to have one

Miles is the only anomaly. The rest are just the Spider-people of their dimensions. And while yes, most Spider-Man are Peter Parker, not all of them are. Matter of fact Miles Morales was always going to be spider-man, it was just going to be the Spider-Man of Earth 42.

He became Spiderman through an experiment in alchemax, that's why he needs the injections, that's why he has fangs and claws and he doesn't have spider sense. Miles is an anomaly because he was bitten by a spider from another universe, not his universe.

I'm with Nick, spider-verse is my favorite superhero/comic book movies. And now that I've finally seen Across the Spider-verse, I think the trilogy is shaping up to be the greatest superhero trilogy ever. Best believe I'll be in the first screening for Beyond Spider-verse. "Have to beat up a pregnant lady unfortunately because she was kinda mean" freaking got me dude.

when i went to the movies to see this I didn't know there would be another film coming after this one and when it neared the end I was like, "I know this movie ain't ending like this" & then when it did, I yelled out, "You did not just cliffhanger me!" LOL

Talons (feet and hands, that's how he climbs walls)and fangs were Miguel's thing when he was created. He didn't have a spidey sense but had enhanced vision and hearing, organic webs.

As good as these films are they'll never beat Dredd, Super, The Crow, Blade or the first Superman. In my opinion of course, personal preference, something about the animation in these films annoys me, don't like the blurry jerkiness.
