The best ride of any car I've ever owned is still the 1987 BX19 I used to own. I once drove to Wanganui from Auckland and back in one weekend and then went to Coromandel on the Monday for a few days bc I still felt so fresh. It was so relaxing to drive, I described it as a LaZ-Boy on an airbed. And yet it still cornered. I could go over speed bumps at about 40k! They used to use old DS citroens to do the follow cams on the inside of horse racing tracks, driving on the grass, bc before steadicams the were the only cars that could do it.

That half-sized glove box is because they move the steering wheel to the correct side, but leave the cabin fuse box there. It afftects more of the Stellantis brands than just Citroen. However, they are not alone - RHD VWs usually end up with a glovebox that you couldn't put a pair of gloves in, and back in the days when they included full user manuals, these couldn't fit at all...Ford seem to manage moving the fuses across with the sterring wheel, at least with the Transit van, so I'd be knocking a few kilos of proto-fries from the PSC score and sticking 'must try harder' on it.

7 months late but just to say these can be tremendous value on the second hand market as well. Here in UK a 2 year old 20k mileage one can be picked up for £14k quite easily and ive seen them as low as £12.5k.

I don’t get why the legacy manufacturers seem to insist on putting such weak motors in their EVs. I don’t need a sub 4 second 0-100 sprint but enough power to do it in around 7 seconds would be the minimum in my view.

It may be electric but it's still a f!ng SUV. It's got those cool taillight clusters that are reminiscent of that upmarket classic the Toyota Yaris.

no, it's not.... except by the slightly higher ground clearance than the rest of them, it's simply a C segment hatchback! and is not even amongst larger C segment hatches.

I was thinking PSA/Stellantis more or less pulled out of the Australian and New Zealand markets - Jeep sales went from 200,000 to only 20,000 over 3 years mainly based on customer service and reliability. From another KZbin channel based in Australia Stellantis has treated customers even with warranty repairs very badly if you have an ICE vehicle what's stopping them from doing the same if you have an EV?

They’re not great in the UK either, as a friend is finding out with his fiat500 EV. Air con failed and it’s been sat in the dealers for nearly 5 weeks with no fix…..🤨

French cars always have electrical issues even if they ride well. Too expensive and underpowered at 100KW. That styling has limited headroom in the rear. No one pedal driving etc. Sorry Gav it's a fail.

I have a 2006 diesel C4 - the front looks very similar. Citroens are quirky, but you should check what yr servicing costs are going to be, nice cars but can be expensive for service and parts :)

@Deb_Downes11 ай бұрын
@@dougmyers8800I live in OZ - it was 1/2 the cost to buy a set of rear wheel hubs/rotors (to replace wheel bearings) and ship them to Australia, than buy the same part from Citroen Australia. Lovely car, never buying European again.

No one pedal driving is dopey. One pedal driving is safer and more convenient and gets you more range.

That's Tesla brainwashing because they pocketed the savings rather than provide regen-integrated foot braking that nearly everyone else has.
@remakeit262811 ай бұрын
Not true. My Atto 3 transfers most of its braking energy into the battery (I have seen up to 67kW) and moving my foot from off the accelerator - which has to be done for one-pedal driving anyway - to a brake pedal was normal driving until Teslas came along.

I’ve owned one Citroen (c4). I will never get, accept or recommend a Citroen to anyone, ever. Singularly, the worst car I have ever owned, the worst customer service I have ever had, and most disappointing vehicle experience I have ever had . It was a car that looked so good on the surface and failed to deliver on any level.

@@jeffreylebowski3216it's a lovely car but regardless of price it will never do more than 320km on a charge or 280ish on a long trip. It is impossible for me to comfortably do my monthly 300km trip since the only charger is at the very beginning or end of the drive depending on direction. Even when they add more chargers I'll still think under 300 km isn't enough
