Yeah. You can’t rough people up and that slob played a pussies game. Used none of his slob attributes. Pin his ankle down with your knee or foot and do what you want with them. It’s frowned upon in bjj. As it’s a game and nothing realistic about it. What tye rutolo did to Nicky Gordon is how you play. Stomp ankles with your feet throw the other leg over and mash. Nobody is doing this in 2022 yet. Guy on his back just stomp and grab an ankle. They absolutely hate hit. Just like forearm pressure to nose eyes and just making every position uncomfortable. It’s a weird game that even women and the elderly can achieve the best of the best status. Do some catch. Bjj is for absolute pussies and everyone can do it. And it’s so limited in physicality and roughing someone up. This match is an absolute joke. And just shows that this fat fuxk is a black belt somehow. Trying abposition game. @@voce3337 Mikey survived the pressure of a 400 pound guy at sub 150 pounds. He's probably one of a handful of people in the world that could do it. He also presents enough threat to keep his opponent from making any reckless movements. Lastly he is constantly switching grips and working to off balance his opponent to maintain control of his guard without taking on too much weight. It's masterful technique that forced his opponent to mostly smash and hunker down.

Someone said - "guard (if you can't get past their legs) is a neutral position not a pin. In order to pin you have to get past their legs, otherwise its easy for them to escape you or to sweep you or triangle you etc. The big guy sat in guard for a while without passing which is considered game delay (penalty), he also smashed the little guy's face while in guard, which causes a lot of pain, but doesn't really advance the position or cause a real submission (smashing the face while inside guard is a penalty). Because of these two penalties Mikey won. The guy tried to pressure pass mikey, but he relied on his size strength and weight instead of skill, and mikey has enormous skill, so was able to handle the guy. Honestly I am impressed, fighting people 3 times your size is hard. The big guy should have tried a deeper lock or tried to stack him. when regular pressure passing wasn't working.... it might not have worked as Mikey is very skilled, but it would have been at least trying something different" a few scrolls down

While the "gorgeous" and well off seem to be the most arrogant and greedy people out there. Of course that's not to say there aren't beautiful kind people out there. Hes able to use sub par jiujitsu because he is too big to pull a lot of moves off on. Where tf so you see world class bjj players on their two knees an entire round trying to pass a guard? Easy, you dont. Being on your knees isn't going to open up anyone's guard who is good at bjj amd you will end up getting submitted that is unless you are 400 lbs. How could that guy possibly have demonstrated a black belt level repertoire of moves?
@anonymousreviewer1692 жыл бұрын
They simply can't. You have to lose weight to be able to perform JJ moves. There is no way around that.

@@anonymousreviewer169 so how is he wearing a black belt? Maybe he used to be less rotund?
@anonymousreviewer1692 жыл бұрын
@@darrenstettner5381 If you drop-in at enough JJ schools, you'll find that there are people who earn upper belts through accrued mat hours alone -- which is supposed to translate into a developed skillset, but not always as you can see. My guess is that this guy likely kept showing up for a long time, and his instructor felt compelled (for whatever reason) to promote him all the way to black belt. There might be an alternative explanation such as the one you suggested above, but it's even more unlikely.
@simonb89882 жыл бұрын
@@darrenstettner5381 Maybe he gained weight after he got the black belt? Maybe he’s had the black belt for 5 years and gained 50-100 lbs since. But most likely, mat hours.

I hate all these comments about the guys size. This fight alone proves bjj is the greatest art form where big and small are on level ground. Small or skinny guys never have to apologize for using speed or flexibility (which won this match). Big guys don’t need to apologize for using size and strength. You use the tools you have. And in bjj MOST times speed and flexibility win. So who really has the advantage. Kudos to big man for developing his own big guy style and using it at a competitive level WAY more difficult to do than anyone gives credit.

You really said, who really has the advantage? 😂

Small guys have advantage I'd say it's not like big guy can punch or use his knees and elbows to do major damage like in ufc in my experience in close spaces like this speed and agility wins every time..

I have never did bjj. I did kick and wrestling. I will start bjj. The eight difference is.. If you have been there you don't know how humbling this is.

Big guy should be mad at himself rather than the other guy. Guard was open the whole time. PASS! Stop thinking GI all the time. Go double unders, single... something.

Guard was open? Not by choice lol. Mikey's legs weren't long enough to wrap around him.

I agree with a lot of these comment, the big guy probably has a blue belt level of jiu jitsu and it’s agonizing to watch someone that big try to actually crush the throat of his opponent.

there are weight classes that (for some tournaments) have limits to how heavy they go. but this is the absolute division where it's all weights against all weights

Can someone explain what both penalties were for?
@cyclonebee19392 ай бұрын
Ya big has that advantage but Mike has plenty of them as well. Flexibility, speed, cardio, and can utilize space that is so much smaller than anything big is used to. Yes the weight is an obvious advantage but there's some in the other direction as well. You also have the fact that if big wins then it's "well ya look at the size" and if he doesn't then it's "we'll big just suck". Same as fighting a girl, it's lose lose.
