Looks so delicious! I will try using shrimps, mushrooms & bean sprouts. Substituting sesame oil with avocado oil due to sesame oil gives me migraine headache.

Put your oyster sauce in a condiment bottle, like a ketchup or mustard bottle you can squeeze, best thing I ever did.😁

How long does this Oyster sauce last because I never find a date on the bottles in the International grocery and my bottle has been in the fridge for quite some time

I love egg foo young, I love bean sprouts even more. I’ve been making this for quite awhile, but I make several smaller ones. The only disappointment is that I didn’t know how to make the gravy. Now I do. Thank you soooo much. Now my egg foo young will be perfect 😋

Hey Flo, If you want your cast iron to be nonstick you need to not use soap when cleaning but just scrub with water and salt. Then let it dry on the burner and add a few drops of oil and let the pan get hot, shut off the heat, and let the pan cool. If you do this every time your pan will develop a nonstick surface.

Asexual Atheist I'm an asexual too I made mom pork chops and augratin potatoes for her bday one year she loved it she'll be dead 10 yrs June 14th this yr...all these yrs later still seems strange her not being here...😿

i lack teeth and use a electric chopper for everything so the onions are shredded and meat also u can use beef gravy also i noticed in the restaurant the make the eggs scrambled inside the patty then a egg coating they dip kit in to and fry

What I like about your videos is (1) everything is really clear, (2) you deal with things in a real-life fashion, like getting all the oyster sauce, and (3) everything seems so ... make-able, if that's a word. Slide the eggs out of the pan, on to a plate. Flip it over onto another plate and slide it back in the pan.

I love love love egg foo young, and I’m low carb, I’ve always had to resort to take out, but I’m paying high prices now and they give you rice with it…….it’s just not worth it! Is their anything else I can use instead of corn starch, since I’m low carb ? This looks super easy and I already have oyster sauce & soy sauce, thank you so much!! Just subscribed to your channel❤️

I love your show, I always leave hungry, I did actually make dinner with left over rice last week, I added a little bacon grease for flavor, my husband was so surprised when I took him a big plate of Fried Rice since I made it on the spur of the moment, we both loved it❤

Oh, my GOSH!!! I’m gonna try this! Egg Foo Yung @ my favorite Chinese restaurant is SO EXPENSIVE!!! I can make this at home for about 1/50th of the price @ the restaurant!!! Count me in as a new sub! Thank you… 😘😘😘😘😘 P.S. What about using Sesame Oil?

Hiiii Flo! We love love Egg Foo Young in our family! My husband has a horrible shellfish allergy, so you are correct, in that there is a Vegan version of oyster sauce. I use it all the time. Thank you for sharing this amazing recipe! I cannot wait to try it!

Hi Flo. 😊 I wish we had taste-a-vision! Egg Foo Young is a fav of mine and this looks so good! Dude is a lucky man. I fell in our backyard and broke my kneecap in two places. I regularly make egg foo young as it’s a most favoured dish for me, but I’m rarely happy with the results. After being inspired to try your version immediately after watching your video last night, I will be forever making your egg foo young from now on. It was fantastic, and so much better than my previous efforts over the last 20+ years. I’m in Australia and have always used the Australian Women’s Weekly Chinese Cookbook as my guide, but not any more, thanks to you.

Kind of asian omelet. like it instead of paddies. Never tried cooking the filling ahead of time. Usually mix with the egg mixture. I like it with bean sprouts but usually make it with Napa cabbage. meat is usually ground pork and bay shrimp.

I like how Dude taste & critique the finish food you cooked, a great video & demo. My mom use to make it but no sauce,will have to try your sauce. My mom is 93. Thank you for all your old fashion cooking, Mom didnt give me recipe than to tell me to just watch.

Our favorite Chinese restaurant stopped making Egg Foo Yung (among other favorite dishes). No eggs in Singapore Rice Noodles anymore, either. I'd happily pay a little extra for the eggs. ='[.]'=

I absolutely love Foo yung,and always get the mushroom from my local takeaway,but it doesn't come with gravy,so I'm assuming that's just an American thing.I live in England.

Love egg foo young. Most disappointing thing going out for Chinese food anymore is the switch in sweet and sour pork and almond chicken to those horrible dough balls most serve now. 😫

Why do you pour the oil into the eggs when mixing it? Good to know the reason behind all these. Yeah Egg Foo Yeung can be quite flexible in terms of what to put in. I ate some with shredded carrots and shrimps. Love it. This is premium fried eggs at a cheaper price 😍Here when food increased nowadays is no longer 2 to 3 percent. Is straight up 15 to 20 percent 😪. Thanks for sharing 😋😍

My mom bought som kind of egg food young kit which had canned bean sprouts and sauce and you added the egg. It was my first introduction to Chinese food. It was not good and I insisted I didn't like Chinese food for the next several years. Now I cook almost exclusively Asian food much of it Chinese!

You could slide it onto a plate then put the pan over the plate and flip the plate and pan over to get the other side down.
